This book was the first I read on supply chain. He has inspired me a lot giving me confidence and direction. The good thing about this book is the sequence of its content. It starts with the key concepts and moves to the SCOR model’s four basic supply chain operations, which are plan, source, manufacture, and deliver. below, the author discusses technologies, techniques and metrics used in the supply chain with real examples and much more.

2. “Supply Chain Management: Strategy, Planning, and Operation” – Sixth Edition by Sunil Chopra and Peter Meindl
The second book on my list is “Supply Chain Management: Strategy, Planning, and Operations” by Sunil Chopra and Peter Meindl. The book has evolved from a supply chain management course taught to second-year MBA students at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. introduces high-level strategies and concepts while giving students the practical tools needed to solve supply chain problems.
This book covers the three decision phases in supply chain management: strategic, tactical, and operational decisions. The most important thing about this book is that it provides the reader with all the analytical tools necessary to make those decisions.
You will learn how to design the entire supply chain network, forecast demand with Excel, plan production and inventory, manage pricing, and much more. This book is an absolute must read for all students interested in supply chain management and logistics.
3. “inventory optimization: models and simulations” by nicolas vandeput
In this book, you will learn by doing. This book is of great help to those students interested in delving into inventory optimization from a methodological perspective. the codes in this book are written in the python language.
The combination of math, business skills, and programming makes learning fun and engaging. the book follows a path where you start with a simple model and as you apply it you will learn new things. these will allow you to build a better model. and so. as the author mentions in the book, “you learn as you go.”

4. “Inventory and Production Management in Supply Chains” – 4th Edition by Edward A. silver, david f. pyke and douglas j. thomas
