my love for all things easter, spring and baby animals runs deep and i have loads of great easter books for kids. seeing them together makes me feel so happy! no easter basket is complete without one (or two). My love for Easter and children’s books converge here to bring you this great list. I promise you will have a lot of fun reading these books with your kids. And as an added bonus, most of these tips are under $10!

let’s go on an egg hunt
If your little one loves books with flip-up flaps, the egg hunt is the winner. Follow the bunnies on their hunt for eggs as you practice basic counting skills.

I’m a big fan of Teagan White’s fantastic illustrations. With its timeless message about a mother’s love for her child, this bunny-themed board book will stay in your book rotation long after spring has passed. This book is on my list of the best easter books for children, as well as my list of favorite baby bedtime books.
dear bunny
If your child has a special doll or stuffed animal, this is a perfect option for their Easter basket! dear bunny is written as a letter from a girl to her special bunny, recounting all the sweet things they do together every day.
flora and the chicks
Read on as ten eggs hatch right before Flora’s eyes! Another book in Molly Idle Caldecott’s award-winning series that will be different every time you read it. This is easily one of my favorite counting books and I gave this easter picture book to my daughter for her first easter.
the runaway bunny
a classic easter book for a reason. if you don’t already have this in your collection, add it now. my daughter loves finding the bunny when he turns into a crocus in a hidden garden. As a bonus, you can also save it for Mother’s Day.
If I were a rabbit
jellycat makes some of our favorite stuffed animals and her tactile books don’t disappoint!
easter bugs
a quirky pop-up book that’s exactly the right kind of crazy. such a fun easter book for kids and a great introduction to this series. Interactive books like this one will delight your preschooler for hours.
the bunnies are not in their beds
a super fun bunny book to read aloud that will be the perfect bedtime book in the days and weeks leading up to Easter.
llama, llama easter egg
I like llama llama holiday books because they explain a new holiday or season in very few words with simple illustrations. they have become a fixture in our home for this reason. I show a llama llama book on our shelves almost monthly.

another fun easter book for young children that can be read long after easter, because it’s not about easter per se, but about an egg hunt.

There’s something hilarious and adorable about this Easter picture book about a bunny who loves yoga. If you’re feeling inclined, this book includes some simple yoga poses that you and your child can try together to relax.

The holy grail of every Easter book collection, the entire Beatrix Potter box is a gift I dream of giving my daughters. I remember being drawn to these slim volumes in a special case at my own grandmother’s house. if you’re ready to splurge, splurge here!

While many of the books I’ve recommended above can be read aloud to your baby, there are plenty of fun Easter books for babies that are truly interactive. I’ve found several great options to lift the flap or touch and feel with simple text and bright illustrations. Any of these options would make a great addition to your baby’s first Easter basket.

Who doesn’t like to pet the bunny? A classic children’s book for Easter and beyond. it’s just adorable to see your baby say “bye-bye!” to paul and judy.

Karen Katz makes the cutest books with flip-up flaps in bright colors and this is a very fun easter book for babies. this is going in my new baby’s easter basket this year for her first easter in 2019!

There’s something really fun about rotating books for each season, whether you use small display racks like I do or just store them in a large basket near a comfy chair. reading is easily one of my favorite things to do with my daughters all year long.
