blake crouch is a well known author of the horror and suspense genres, hailing from stateville, north carolina, united states. he has written many books in his writing career, all of which are very successful. Blake was born in 1978 near the city of Piedmont in Statesville, North Carolina. After completing his school studies, he joined the University of North Carolina located at Chapel Hill. Blake graduated from Phi Beta Kappa in 2000, earning his degrees in creative writing and English literature. he currently lives in southwestern colorado with his family. It was released by Brilliance Audio Publisher in the year 2012. The plot of the novel revolves around the life of a secret service agent named Ethan Burke. In the opening sequence of the novel’s plot, Ethan Burke arrives in Wayward Pines, Idaho, on a mission as a Secret Service agent. he must find and retrieve a pair of federal agents who had disappeared from the bucolic town about a month earlier. however, minutes after arriving at wayward pines, he is involved in a very violent accident. After the accident, Ethan Burke is taken to a hospital without his ID, cell phone and briefcase. but, the hospital staff seems to be very friendly towards him, which makes him feel a bit strange. Over the course of a few days, Ethan’s investigation into his missing classmates leaves him with more questions than answers. he begins to wonder why his phone calls to his wife and son in another haven’t been able to connect since the day he arrived at wayward pines. furthermore, he finds it very difficult to convince other people about his true identity. ethan also seems to wonder about the purpose of having electric fences around town. he tries to figure out if it’s to keep the residents inside or something else. As ethan gets closer to finding the truth with each step, he seems to stray farther from the world than he thought he was very aware of. Soon, he realizes that he must prepare himself to face a horrible truth, or else he may not make it out of the wayward pines alive.

The second novel in the wayward pines series was published under the title “wayward”. was launched by thomas & Mercer Publishing in 2013. The plot of this novel is about the town of Wayward Pines and once again features the main character in the form of Ethan Burke. In the opening sequence of the novel’s plot, author Blake has described the Rogue Pines as having a population of only 461 individuals. it is beautifully situated between the mountains and appears to be an idyllic modern town, except for the barbed wire and electrified fence, the relentless surveillance that tracks every job and gesture, and the 24/7 sniper range, 7 days a week. village. To add to the wonder of the town, none of the residents know how they got to Wayward Pines. they only know that they were told how to live, where to work and whom to marry. some people believe that the residents are dead, while others believe that they are trapped in an unfathomable experiment. each of the villagers dreams of secretly leaving, but none of them dares to because they know they will face dire consequences if they are caught while trying to escape. Ethan Burke has come from the outside world of the city and knows the truth about him. being a sheriff, he is aware of the fact that wayward is not just a town. he also knows that on the other side of the electrified fence lies a nightmare that no one has ever imagined.
