Christmas truly is the time for miracles, and one such miracle recently fell into the hands of a visually impaired girl from Mission, Kansas named Emrie.

emrie is a girl who was born with a very rare genetic anomaly that left her without vision. According to Ella’s aunt Katelyn Suter, the girl learned Braille when she was only 4 years old and now she reads years beyond her age.

That’s when the girl decided that she would like to continue reading the books on her own. Unfortunately, Harry Potter braille books are extremely expensive and not easy to find.

This whole situation inspired emrie’s aunt katelyn to start a gofundme campaign and help raise money for the harry potter braille books emrie wanted so badly.

“harry potter books range from $8 to $300 for a single book, it’s a shame everyone should have access to the books!” katelyn wrote in the description of the fundraiser. “Hopefully, with a little help, we can give this little girl the gift of magic for Christmas, as well as possibly supply a set to local libraries. any donation would help and my family would be very grateful.”
