Honestly, I get a little nostalgic thinking back to my first book club I had where we only read young adult books. There was always a lot to talk about, and as 20-somethings, we loved looking back and sharing our own teenage experiences inspired by the book’s theme.
I can imagine that a book club full of real young adults would have an incredibly different discussion (especially with the target audience going through some of these issues) and I think that’s what makes young adult books so so versatile and that’s why I’ll do it. recommend to any book club – there are so many discussion worthy books for book clubs out there!
As always, I think that, in general, any book can be chosen for a book club and give something to talk about. however, in my experience, I think there are just a few books that make it easier to find things to talk about naturally and that will elevate book club discussion because of the themes or topics within them.
