irene hannon has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from st. louis university. she also has a master’s degree in journalism from the university of missouri, columbia. she juggled two careers for many years until she resigned from her position as corporate communications executive. She resigned from this position at a fortune 500 company before venturing fully into writing. in general, she is happy with this decision and does not regret it.

She is one of 16 romance authors to receive the title of Romance Writers from the United States Hall of Fame. Her books have also won several awards including two Carol Awards, a Daphne du Maurier Award, three Holt Medallions, and a National Readers’ Choice Award. one of her novels was also named by booklist as the best inspirational fiction books of 2011. in addition, she is a two-time christy award finalist and winner of two best booksellers awards.

In her spare time, Hannon enjoys cooking, singing, and gardening. A trained vocalist, she has sung the title role in various musicals such as The South Pacific and The King and I. she is also a soloist in her church. when she is not busy, irene stays with her husband and they enjoy traveling together. On Saturday mornings you find her at her favorite coffee shop spending time with her family. she happily stays with her family in missouri.

Dating back to 2003, the book is about a family that is on the verge of falling apart because their priorities are misplaced. the man of the family feels a great weight of responsibility. he too is caught up in the worries of trying to give the best to his loved ones. at the same time, he takes them away from what they love most. the cycle takes a major turn when a stranger and his four-year-old daughter are killed. this brings many years with pain. ultimately the only thing that could rescue him is god’s mercy which should bring some healing. but what steps does he take from there? From time to time Scott seems quite imperfect. however, he tries to do good when he seeks the honor of god through his actions and thoughts. he is happy to have the support of his community. Unfortunately, after the tragedy, his wife denies herself the love of her husband and the love of God. she mistakenly surrounds herself with embittered friends. Scott, her husband must save her in her mystery.
this rita award winning novel will be a great novel for those who have experienced disillusionment or loss with god. it is also an interesting love story as love is found in disappointments and difficult times. they are simply the best moving books you will ever find. it will speak to you in different ways, this is because of the compassion you allow yourself to feel when someone has to accept the forgiveness that must be offered and required by god. Anyone who has faced adversity at some point in her life will find this book useful.

deceived is a 2015 book that centers a story on kate marshall. after losing her husband and her child, she has been mourning her death for three years. she lost them both in a boating accident. however, when she sees a familiar boy, she is convinced that it is her son. With the police skeptical of her story, she finds help with a private investigator, Connor Sullivan. the former secret service agent investigates the case, the boating accident takes a new turn as he becomes increasingly suspicious. However, if Kate’s son is alive, someone intends to keep him hidden. They will go to deadly lengths to protect this sinister secret.
Readers will especially love the suspense aspect of the novel. The book is also a 2015 Rita Award with interesting twists. most of the time, the villain in this book doesn’t seem all that bad. only later is the dark side of him revealed. the story generally has a different feel from other thrillers you’ll come across, so you might like this one for a nice change.
Overall, you will read and truly enjoy all of Irene Hannon’s romantic and inspirational novels. the characters are wonderful and you will love how they interact with each other.
