There’s something about the Infernal Devices series that sets it apart from other fantasy books. cassandra clare’s infernal devices just has that je ne sais quoi and it’s one of my favorite shadowhunter series. If you’re looking for something new to read to fill the void left by will, jem, and tessa, check out the books below!

This book has just the right tone and content to convey all the feelings that the infernal devices provoke. It’s a high-stakes fantasy, with a strong female lead, and it’s set in Victorian London. To top it off, it’s a long read, according to the habits of Cassandra Clare, so it’ll keep you busy for a while!

2. cassandra clare’s last hours series

If you’re simply looking for more of the Shadowhunters universe, look no further! The Last Hours series is set in Edwardian London, just after the events of the Infernal Devices series. Even better than that, it features the descendants of Will and Tessa! the series starts with chain of gold, and once you’re done with the first book, check out the second, chain of iron.

This book has it all: intelligent characters who are always looking for the front line of action, forbidden romance with a slow burn that’s enough to leave scars, and a vibrant setting that’s rich in culture. takes place in the 1920s, and the turmoil of the time and plot are evident. you won’t be able to leave this one.

5. the naughty lady by jenn bennett

More gothic than steampunk, this book retains the same dark and adventurous tone of the infernal devices. top that off with vampire legends, magical trinkets, and a friends-to-lovers romance that will keep you guessing, and you couldn’t ask for more!

6. the witches haven by sasha peyton smith

Just like The Last Wizard, this dark and magical read is set in New York City in the early 1900s. It features a school for witches that looks suspiciously like a high school in some ways, a mysterious boy, and dark forces. that stir in the city. Trust us, you won’t want to miss this one.

7. P.S. i still love you by jenny han

If you only like the love triangle, this book has a love triangle to die for. Another old crush, the current boyfriend’s old rival, and a high-stakes game that has them all competing? Tensions are high, drama is unavoidable, and the conclusion to all of this will blow your mind.
