wait and work for your boaz: ruth & orfa were still young women when her husbands passed away, leaving her homeless & indigent. the new spouses would provide stable homes & a brighter future for both women. Naomi urged her daughters-in-law to return to her hometowns, where she could find new husbands. Orpah, probably feeling out of options, agreed and left. But Ruth refused to go, saying to Naomi: “Don’t beg me to leave you, or stop following you; because where you go, I will go; and where you dwell, I will dwell; your people shall be my people, and your god my god…” (Ruth 1:16).
He stayed with Naomi and the two traveled to Naomi’s hometown of Bethlehem. While there, Ruth gleaned in the fields to feed herself and Naomi, and while in the fields, she found Boaz, a wealthy relative of Naomi. after a one-off courtship, the two eventually marry.

-ruth waited for boaz: instead of rushing to find another husband to meet her needs, she focused on trusting god for her supply. a christian woman would do well to emulate ruth in this way: expect god to send you the husband who has prepared you, and know that god is the provider of all your needs, not (just any) man!

-ruth also worked for boaz: god arranged for ruth to meet her future husband “at work”: she found boaz in the field while gleaning! he worked hard to reap a meager harvest for her and naomi; Ruth was a “willing worker” who did not sit back and wait for miracles to fall from heaven. a christian woman must remember that god is waiting for her to be ready for hers “boaz of hers” hers, the husband she has for her—show him that you are ready and waiting for him to manifest her promise by constantly working for glory her. while you wait for your godly man, do the work of the lord, and you will be rewarded for your efforts!
