I have a confession to make. Ever since I discovered the absolute genius that audiobooks are (see here for a primer on how to get started if you’ve never read with your ears before), I’m quickly going back to the bookworm I was as a child.

I even participated in a mini book club with my mom friends on the book little girls can be mean. Having started to explore the topic of raising girls, I now want to delve into the topic of sons (appropriate since I have two).

so of course i turned to our resident librarian, janssen, and she didn’t disappoint. here she is..

so here are the ten books you shouldn’t miss if you’re raising little men:

I can only imagine how much more interesting and useful it would be now that I’m a father, going through these stages with my own children.

If you want less advice and more commiseration, this is the perfect laugh-out-loud read about a real mother raising five of her own wild and charming children. It’s a perfect gift for a new mom who’s also expecting her first little child.
