In my opinion, optimism is the highest form of hypnotizing yourself; and the second is believing that you can’t solve anything unless you know why you have that problem. (what is the cause?)

These two forms of self-hypnosis have two sides, one positive and one negative.

The positive side of optimism makes you wake up in the morning and start walking towards what you want.

On the flip side, optimism blinds you to things that don’t work or may be detrimental to you.

“I’ll start tomorrow morning…”“my love for him will change him…”“she’ll be the same forever.”“I know I’ve tried (the same way) 10 times, and it didn’t work, but this time it will work.” “This second piece of cake can’t hurt me.”

The five statements above are the negative side of optimism. we often use statements/thoughts like these and hypnotize ourselves to blind ourselves to the facts, ignore the evidence and continue walking down a destructive path.

Do you think you can solve or overcome your problems and issues without knowing why you have them?

listen, knowing why something happens is information that can help you, but it is not always essential information. we are in love with the “why” because it is something entertaining, or it gives us an excuse.

Now let me ask you again if you think you’re hypnotizing yourself.

Without realizing it, you plant many ideas in your mind and those ideas shape your behavior. telling yourself “I could never do [that]” is self-hypnosis.

“I could never kill someone.” – positive self-hypnosis. “I could never change [bad behavior] because I can’t help myself.” – negative self-hypnosis.

When I was younger, I had all sorts of minor health problems. monthly, I had at least one allergy, or couldn’t even stand up because my gallbladder was rebelling.

For me, an allergic reaction means my skin looks like frog skin (lots of spots and bumps) and itchy.

but shortly after I turned 30, I gained (in less than six months) about 20 kilos (44 pounds).

The strange thing is that it’s not the weight gain, but the fact that those pounds had a positive side effect: all my minor health problems suddenly stopped; no more allergies; no more headaches; no more gallbladder rebellion – felt better than ever in my life.

however, that weight also came with a question “how should I be now?” I didn’t know how to be So, I thought that if I lose weight, I will be the same as always. logical, right?

but (see?) our subconscious mind doesn’t care about logic. their prime directive is to keep you alive, to ensure your survival.

It took me some time to lose that excess weight because my subconscious mind was sabotaging me. every time the scale showed that I lost some weight, I would panic instead of feel happy. I realized that in my subconscious mind being thinner also means being sick.
