while in the special forces, brad conducted military operations in iraq, afghanistan, and many other classified locations. Before his retirement, Brad’s last posting with the Army was as an assistant professor of military science at the Citadel in South Carolina. Brad has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas, as well as an advanced degree from the Naval Postgraduate School in Irregular Warfare.

Each of Brad’s novels, A Rough Man, All Force Necessary, Enemy of Mine, and The Widow’s Strike, follow Logan Pike’s unit titled Task Force. Released in 2011, One Rough Man tells the story of Pike Logan’s rise from tragedy as he battles terrorists in the Middle East.
While on a mission, Pike’s wife and daughter are brutally murdered. Pike blames himself for the tragedy and claims that if he hadn’t been out, he would have been there to keep them alive. Immediately after the murders, Pike refuses to take a leave of absence from his unit. however, he is not himself and one mistake after another leads him to become unemployed. After leaving the unit, Pike becomes a shell of his former self and starts drinking heavily.
One day while drinking at a bar, Pike runs into a college student whose uncle, an archaeologist, has just been murdered in Guatemala. the student was searching for an ancient Mayan temple believed to contain a mysterious weapon. Student Jennifer Cahill convinces Pike to go to Guatemala to find the killers.
While there, Pike uncovers an al-Qaeda plot to steal the weapon and use its great power against America and the world. Left with no other choice, Pike and Cahill embark on a world tour to try to stop the terrorists before it’s too late. Brad Taylor’s second book, All Force Needed, picks up where his last left off: having saved the world from the Mayan superweapon. now, logan pike returns home to contemplate his future.
After the success of his Rebel mission, Logan is invited to rejoin the task force. She rejoins the unit, and Logan invites his partner from the previous mission to try out for the task force: Jennifer Cahill. however, the male-dominated, testosterone-fueled task force is skeptical that a woman could join their ranks. During her initiation and training, Cahill amazes the entire unit with her physical strength and her killing skills.
Despite her ability, Jennifer wrestles with her conscience as she realizes her missions will require violence and death at her hands. Throughout the novel, Jennifer asks herself: Does the end justify the means? After a terrorist attack in Egypt, Pike and Jennifer must traverse the Middle East in search of the terrorists. Despite questioning the legality of his mission, Jennifer is successful in his first foray as a task force agent.
In each novel, we learn more about the death of Pike’s wife and daughter and gain new insights into the character. Brad Taylor does a masterful job of developing his characters as each novel progresses. Brad Taylor’s novel combines the page-turning suspense of Robert Ludlum with the real-world experience found in an Alex Berenson book. Having spent more than two decades serving in the Army, Brad Taylor has brought his unique talents to the computer and is churning out speed-reading novels at a breakneck pace.
