who is brandon mull?

Brandon Mull is a New York Times bestselling author of the Fablehaven, Beyonders and Five Kingdoms series. Born in 1974, he worked several jobs before becoming a full-time writer: he worked as a comedian, a file clerk, a patio fitter, a movie promoter, a copywriter, and briefly as a chicken stacker.

mull dreamed of becoming a fantasy writer after reading the chronicles of narnia, the lord of the rings and harry potter. He worked on his first novel after graduating from Brigham Young University in 2000, but it was turned down by many agents and publishers. If this novel didn’t find a publisher, Shadow Mountain Publisher saw potential and asked Mull to write something else. He wrote Fablehaven, which would become a hit and the first in a series of five books and a sequel.

Brandon Mull lives in Utah with his four children and a dog named Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

beyonders: seeds of rebellion (2012) —jason is back in the world he has always known—but despite all his efforts to return home, he finds it eager to return to lyrian. And as soon as Jason manages to cross over to Lyrian, he’s in more danger than ever.
Beyonders: Chasing the Prophecy(2013) —Jason and Rachel weren’t born in Lyrian . they did not grow in lily. But after all the battles and losses, the triumphs and adventures, and most of all, the friendships forged in this fantastical world, Lyrian has become home in a way they never could have imagined. and so, armed now with the prophecy of a dying oracle, they have set out on their separate quests, each surrounded by brave and powerful allies, knowing that the chances of success are slim. pingo (illustrated books)

pingo (2009) — illustrated by brandon dorman. Like many kids his age, Chad has an imaginary friend. his friend was pingo. the two would fight ninjas, brew magic potions, and float in zero gravity. Every day was a fun-filled adventure until Chad decided he was too old to have an imaginary friend. But Pingo was not ready to leave Chad alone and began to torment him and cause all kinds of mischief. Will this once-inseparable duo be friends again?
Pingo and the Playground Bully (2012), a prequel to Pingo, illustrated by Brandon Dorman. In first grade, Chad and his imaginary friend Pingo meet other kids and his imaginary friends: Gary protects the galaxy with Sparky the robot; Tiffany helps save the day with an amazing girl; and dustin can hide mr. bob in his pocket. At recess, after defeating a clan of lava monsters, Chad and his friends decide to have a contest to see which imaginary friend is the smartest, strongest, or cunning. However, when schoolyard bully Jeremy and his imaginary friend, Grunt, decide to prove they’re the best, Pingo saves the day by befriending Jeremy and Grunt and inviting them on an adventure down the Amazon River.
