carole nelson douglas is one of america’s notable authors who has written many novels and folktales based on mystery & suspense, romance and science fiction & fantasy genres. she has written a total of 60 novels in her career as an author. Carole is best known for writing two of her most famous series of novels, the Midnight Louie Mystery Series and the Irene Adler Thrillers. she was born in everett, washington, united states on november 15, 1944. she entered st. catherine for bachelor of arts. During her college days, Carole majored in English literature and drama. After graduating, she began working as a reporter for a local newspaper agency located in Minneapolis and later became an editor for the same newspaper agency. she married sam douglas in 1967. sam was an artist and used to work as director of the minnesota museum of arts. when he worked at the agency, she came across a long and expensive classified ad. She offered a black cat named Midnight Louie at the right house for $1. Carole developed a story based on the survival artist putting her in the cat’s point of view. Later, the cat found her home suitable for her and Carole kept her name for the series of feline mysteries, Louie’s Midnight Mysteries, a few years later. She has dedicated some of the novels in the series to the original Midnight Louie, for whom nine lives weren’t enough either.

Author Carole began writing fiction novels in the late 1970s. Her first novel was brought to Double Day by the late director and famous novelist named Garson Kanin. shortly after, it was sold. Most of the fictional novels written by the author Carole depicted women’s problems and were a mix of hysterical mystery & thriller and contemporary genres. she also wrote novels based on romance and urban fantasy genres. To date, author Carole Nelson Douglas lives happily with her husband, Sam Douglas, in North Texas, USA, and has adopted several cats whom she considers to be members of her family. Throughout her writing career, Carole has won and been nominated for more than 50 prestigious awards. She says that she has been greatly influenced by the successful works of prominent authors of her time such as Dumas, Arthur Conan Doyle, Poe and Oscar Wilde. The Fantasy Fiction website has described Carole as an author who uses a conventional matrix to blend elements of fantasy or mystery with psychological realism and contemporary themes. he has also considered her a literary chameleon. Even in her career as a journalist, Carole has won many awards for her dedication to improving the status of women in society. As a child, she loved reading Sherlock Holmes thrillers and this helped her write the Irene Adler series. Many of Carole’s novels have appeared on the bestseller lists of various literary magazines.

The author Carole has written a number of successful novels in her writing career, one of which is the “Irissa and Kendric” series. This series consists of a total of 5 novels published between the years of 1982 and 1989. The series is actually a combination of two different series, namely the Six of Swords series and the Sword and Circlet series trilogy of novels. The first novel in the Irissa and Kendric series was published under the title ‘Six of Swords’. It was published by Del Ray in 1982. The plot of this novel revolves around the lives of the main characters, Kendric and Irissa. Author Carole has described Irisaa as the last living member of the Torloc wizards while Kendric has been described as one of the Six Swords group. In the opening sequence of the novel’s plot, Irissa is described as ignorant of magic and abandoned by her own people in the decaying world. she is a dedicated sorceress. Kendric is one of the swordsmen and is gifted with a powerful and legendary weapon that helps him protect the kingdoms from all kinds of harm. but now, he has become an outcast and the other five swordsmen sought his death for reason. Kendric and Irissa clashed in the world and they both had their own ancient prejudices towards each other. however, the only possible way they could survive was by combining their remaining abilities with Irissa’s uncertain powers. both desperately needed to survive to save their kingdoms. the magical world of ruler was slowly losing its magic and it was believed that soon there would be no place for magic in the world of ruler. Kendric and Irissa’s fate had chosen them to stand against the dark forces one last time, who stood at Valna’s gate intent on destroying the world.

The second novel in the series written by author Carole Nelson Douglas was published under the title ‘Exiles of the Rynth’. It was published by King’s Publishing House in the year 1984. The plot of this novel also revolves around the life of the main characters Kendric and Irissa. In the opening sequence of the novel’s plot, Irissa is once again depicted as the last remaining member of the sorceress Torloc. They were supposed to take her to a strange world, where her missing people were believed to live, but the rainbow gate betrays her. Earlier, she had lost Kendric’s support in her quest to go to the alien world. and after the rainbow gate rejection, she can’t think what to do next. she is taken prisoner by the stone guardian sophistron and kept in a cell whose pale walls surround her. the cell walls are filled with half-seen reflections of irissa. she seemed to be extremely helpless as all of her power drained into the reflections off her cell walls. even kendric wasn’t there to help her. He was sent to Rynth as a swordless exile and was left stranded among outlaws and careless women. Irissa believed that there was another door somewhere in her and she was obliged to find it as soon as possible and get out of her miserable condition.
