author catherine bybee has spent much of her working life in emergency rooms as a registered nurse throughout southern california. she says this has given her a lot of fun material for her work, and that’s because life is so much better than fiction. She has two sons, whom she is raising in Southern California.

The first romance book he read was the book that got him interested in the genre. she read nothing but romance while she was in high school. she set out to be a published author, like the ones she read.

Moved to Southern California after graduating from high school in an effort to become an actress. she got bored of waiting tables and went back to school to become a registered nurse. Catherine suffered a work related injury and started writing full time.

catherine has written many books in many series, some of which include: the “weekday brides” series the “ritter werewolves” series the “not quite” series the “most likely” series the “maccoinnich” series, some erotic books and some independent novels. Her first novel, “Dignified Kilt” was published in 2009.

“wife for wednesday” is the first novel in the “weekday brides” series and was released in 2011. blake harrison is charming, titled and rich; Not to mention the fact that he needs a wife by Wednesday. Blake goes to a man named Sam Elliot, who is not the businessman Blake thought he would be. Instead, he comes face to face with Samantha Elliot. she is beautiful and feisty with a sexy voice.

samantha elliott owns alliance (which is a brokerage company) and doesn’t want to get married, at least not until blake offers her a ten million dollar one year contract. this is not an indecent proposal as the deal will actually help with her family’s medical bills. all she has to do is keep her attraction to blake to herself and stay out of bed with her.

Blake’s kisses and ability to charm are just too hard for Sam to stay away from. the contract he devised provided for many things, almost everything except one. fall in love.

Fans of the novel were entertained and kept captivated by the charming and well-drawn characters, the prose (which was playful and chilling), and a sweet romance. Blake and Samantha have strong chemistry with each other, and that made for some great dialogue. the love scenes were also great. you could tell that these characters really had feelings for each other and would do anything for them. some enjoyed this one so much that they will review the rest of the series to see if it is as good as this one.

“married by monday” is the second novel in the “weekday brides” series and was published in the year 2012. carter billings looks good enough for hollywood with sandy blonde hair; he could also get any woman he wanted. He bids for the governor’s seat in California, and it’s time for him to settle down and finally be a family man. the woman he desires, eliza havens, is the perfect balance of spice and passion for her marital tastes. However, there is a problem: Eliza is not interested in being his wife.

eliza havens finds it easier to push carter away than to give in to her desire for him. Her career is bringing couples together, but getting married is not an option for her. she has secrets that are too dangerous for anyone else to mess with. her past and her new identity jeopardize her future, she doesn’t have much choice about it. Carter is quick to offer solutions to both his and her problems. But if she says yes, it could mean endangering the man she’s starting to love.

With these first two novels, Catherine is off to a great start. fans of the novel felt that this did not disappoint with its mix of mystery, intrigue, and romance. you feel holding your breath, waiting (along with each of the characters) for what comes next, be it sex or murder or some kind of conflict. Readers like how interesting Eliza’s backstory was and enjoy getting to know her more, after learning some basic things about her in the first book.

“fiance by friday” is the third novel in the “weekday brides” series and was released in 2013. gwen harrison is a beautiful and noble daughter of an english duke who traveled to the united states to take over the business of the matchmakers. of her sister-in-law. being boss doesn’t mean she can’t pretend she’d make a great match with neil macbain (a bodyguard). Did the enigmatic man of her wondrous dreams cost her more than she would have liked?

neil macbain is a retired marine who can’t deny that gwen the blue blood has had an effect on his damaged body or soul. as a client, she can’t have gwen. Something dangerous from Neil’s past returns and Gwen is caught in the crossfire. she will have to risk everything to protect her from it. her career, her heart and her life. everything.

some feel that this is catherine’s best work, and that says a lot, because she is a great author. she will take you on a grand journey and make you feel every emotion known to man. fans of the novel felt that the characters are realistic. gwen is smart, but she is still recovering after being sheltered for a while. Neil, on the other hand, is beginning to relate to the world again and deal with her post-traumatic stress. there’s a fast-paced plot, to keep things moving; there is also an endearing and believable romance in the mix. Catherine continues the hot streak she started with books one and two, with this book here.
