The Immortal Mother first appears in The Witcher after Francesca (Mecia Simson), Fringilla (Mimi Ndiweni), and Yennefer find her cabin in the woods. while they are in a dream state, she comes to them in the forms of those they want to see. She promises to fulfill her wishes, and everyone except Yennefer accepts her help.
Later, when the soldiers capture yennefer, she recites a spell that takes her back to the cabin. The immortal mother appears to him as Ciri and promises to return her powers in exchange for Ciri. Geralt first learns of the monster’s appearance when Jaskier reveals the enchantment on her that she heard Yennefer whisper as the soldiers held her down.
“she is in league with the immortal mother,” geralt tells the bard. “voleth meir, the first warlocks were hired to imprison her. she was buried in her hut — voleth meir is a demon that feeds on pain. ”
what does ciri’s immortal mother want?
In the witcher season 2 finale, the immortal mother is freed from her shack after feasting on frenchie’s pain. As Geralt confronts Yennefer, the monster flies through the forest and takes over Ciri’s body. Ciri arrives at Kaer Morhen but is being controlled by the evil spirit.
Ciri’s consciousness is trapped in a dream, where she is back in her castle, with her grandmother (jodhi may), mousesack (adam levy), and her parents. And in Ciri’s body, the immortal mother begins to kill sleeping warlocks and feast on her pain.

It soon becomes clear that the monster wants Ciri because it wants to control the ancient blood. Using the princess’s ability to summon monsters, the immortal mother can feed on the pain and suffering they cause.
geralt finally awakens ciri’s consciousness and yennefer draws the evil spirit into her own body. Then, when Ciri opens a portal to another world, the immortal mother’s soul flies out and she transforms into a skeletal rider of the Wild Hunt.
“She wanted to go home,” Geralt tells Ciri as the trio return to Kaer Morhen. “You were the key to her future.”
the immortal mother seems to be part of the wild hunt. and it seems that ciri’s elder blood harnessed her power to bring her back to her world. While the monster isn’t in the Witcher books, it does seem to have opened the door to more of the Wild Hunt, a group of villains who play a major role in Sapowski’s series.
