rock slingshot

Loretta’s Greatbow allows you to charge a shot in the style of the huge longbows in the game. it’s too slow to use in pitched combat, but this has been my go-to spell for taking out enemies from a distance or pulling them away from groups.

Glossy Ice Crag can be purchased from the Sorcery Vendor Master Seluvis, who becomes available after you defeat Royal Knight Loretta and start the quest for ranni (opens in a new tab).
I’ve found this to be an excellent “lunch box” spell for the mid game from elden ring onwards. it has a low cost similar to that of a rock slingshot or glowstone pebble, does respectable damage, and also increases the game’s freeze status effect. Like Bleeding, Freeze deals a burst of damage when successfully stacked, while also slowing the enemy’s stamina regeneration.

The prayer book can be reached from the grace site of the wall tower, or more easily from the grace site by the elevator.

- divine skin prayer book: at the storm veil castle. near the beginning of the flamethrower courtyard, go down the steps through the basement door into the room with the rats to find an imp statue. Unlock it with a Stone Sword Key to get the Godslayer Seal and Divine Skin Prayer Book, which you can give to Corhyn.
- Academy Scroll: Find this at northwest of irith church where you find thops. it is located under the main tomb at the end of the cemetery. watch out for skeletons wielding scythes. give it to selen to learn more spells.

- nokstella moon: a talisman that increases memory slots. gain access to it and the city by following the ranni quest.
