elizabeth berg is one of the new york times best-selling American authors and has written a number of best-selling novels based on literature & fiction genre. many of the books written by her have been selected as the books of the year by various literature magazines. One of her novels has also been nominated for the Abby Award in the year 1996. Finally, Ella Elizabeth won the New England Bookseller Award in the year 1997. She also writes non-fiction books. Author Berg had written and submitted a poem to American Girl magazine when she was just a little girl, which was ultimately rejected. After working with dedication and determination for so many years, author Berg has begun to think about her retirement days. she feels much better when she thinks about retiring and spending her days on a farm full of pets. she really likes having chickens and she hopes to raise many after her retirement. Before becoming a writer, author Berg registered as a nurse and continued in this profession for a period of ten years. She considers that this work is her school that she taught her a lot about writing, since she learned a lot about the human being while she took care of her patients.

The second novel in the Katie Nash series written by author Elizabeth Berg was published in 1997 by Arrow Publishing. It was titled “School of Joy” and continued to depict Katie’s life along with a few other characters like Jimmy. In the opening sequence of this novel’s plot, Katie is shown to have moved to Missouri along with her occasionally abusive and distant father. she seemed quite lonely after the death of her beloved mother. Katie enrolls in a new school that she doesn’t seem to accept as her new friends don’t turn out to be her ideal partners. On one occasion, she accidentally ran into Jimmy after falling on ice while she was skating. Katie finds him handsome and charming, even though he is much older than her and married. As time passes, she continues to get closer to Jimmy. And as her relationship with him develops, Katie begins to understand the awareness of the intensity and pain that comes with her first love. Like the previous novel in the series, this novel was also a huge success and helped author Berg gain the confidence to write other novels in her career. Author Berg once again succeeded in depicting the true emotions of human nature through this exciting novel. was highly praised for her efforts by both critics and her fellow authors. This allowed her to be motivated and encouraged to continue her successful career as a writer.
