elizabeth moon is a science fiction and fantasy writer. She was born in 1945 (March 7), in South Texas, and grew up there, near the Mexican border. In a small town of McAllen, she began writing very early, at the age of six. As a child, she loved to tell stories and read, and the first stories she wrote dealt mainly with topics that could interest the soul of a child; for example, she tried to write a whole book about her dog when she was six years old. she would also scribble some poetry while she was at school, or stories on pieces of paper. however, her parents divorced before she was born and she lived with her mother. she elizabeth knew very well that making a living should be her priority, but still, she chose to refuse jobs that were reserved for girls back then: secretaries, teachers, nurses, etc.
so he went to houston to attend rice university. At first, she wanted to study physics, but then she discovered that history is perhaps a better solution, since her interest in science in high school was not enough for the university level. therefore, she elizabeth got her bachelor’s degree in history, in 1968. of course, during her studies, she wrote poetry and science fiction novels. After college, Ella Moon made an unusual decision: to attend the military service. she signed up for the marines and was assigned to work with computers. most of her books include precisely military themes, due to her experience with the marines.

In love with nature since she was a child, elizabeth moon took the opportunity to explore trees, birds, ecosystems, when she had time. Even when she was a little girl, her mother often took her to the beach, horseback riding and partying. In 1969, she married Richard Sloan Moon, her classmate from Rice University. however, her admiration for science and nature never ceased, and she later earned another bachelor’s degree. this time in biology.
In 1979, Moons moved to a small town in Texas, and about two years later, Elizabeth began writing for a weekly Florence News magazine. that was the beginning of her career as a professional writer. the couple adopted a son in 1983.
elizabeth says her dream wasn’t always just to be a writer. the professions that she took into account were: painter, composer, astronomer, physicist after all. but she couldn’t stop writing. she was always the basic drive for her. and although she wrote (initially) adventure stories and poetry about her environment, science fiction and the fantasy genre brought her numerous awards. For her novel The Speed of Darkness, she won the Nebula Award for Best Novel in 2003. And she received the Robert A. heinlein award in 2007 for outstanding work in the field of science fiction. Her books were nominated for Arthur C. the clark prize and the hugo prize as well, so the novels she wrote certainly deserved to be placed among the works of the greatest science fiction writers.
In addition to his passion for writing, he has many other interests. she has experience in singing in a choir, she likes to photograph the beautiful landscapes of nature. One of her favorite hobbies is cooking. fencing is one of the many curious activities elizabeth is interested in. During the 1980s, Elizabeth’s success begins to grow. her science fiction stories appeared regularly in the monthly analog magazine. the anthology series was called Sword and Sorceress. In 1988, her first novel, La hija del pastor, was published. Throughout the book, his adventures become more and more exciting, until it is even discovered that he has certain powers that were granted to him by the gods themselves.
The entire book is set in a fictional medieval world that includes vast kingdoms, elves, humans, gnomes. In the next volume of Paksenarrion’s writing trilogy, called Divided Loyalty, Paks is an equal member of the Phelan’s crew. she departs for the training that can make her a paladin: an anointed knight-errant. readers follow her new adventures along the way. She meets several elves who redirect her path, leading her to the land of evil, Elfane Taig. she manages to rid the land of corruption and then continues her journey. Kuagan is the next character, whom Paks meets while she is looking for clothes in her country. she gets into new trouble by choosing wrong colors for her outfit. unfortunately for her, he chose the colors of an enemy court. her again, she manages to save herself, like a real and honest warrior. After such turbulence, Paks is taken prisoner by the evil cousins of the elves, and the readers follow her fate that is questioned throughout the novel. In the world of magic, Divided Loyalty is a novel that explores the soul of the heroine and how she copes with her responsibilities.
