emily fisk giffin is an american author born on march 20, 1972 in baltimore, maryland. When she was a child, she lived in the Chicago suburbs. She attended North Naperville High School, which is located in Naperville, Illinois. while she was in school, she was a member of the creative writing club and for the school newspaper she served as editor-in-chief. at wake forest university, she took her undergraduate course and got a degree in it. she also did her double major in English and history from the same university and during that time she served as the manager of the basketball team. After graduating from Wake Forest University, she went to the University of Virginia to attend law school. She moved to Manhattan in 1997 after graduating from law school and began working at Winston & straw in the litigation department. even when emily was working, she never gave up her dream of writing. she was too serious to pursue her career as a writer. Author Emily Giffin began writing full-time in 2001, after moving to London. her first novel was for young adults and was titled ‘lily holding true’. since it was the first time that eight publishers rejected her novel. Even after all these rejections, she was determined and she never gave up hope and started writing a new novel. this novel was then titled Rolling the Dice, but was later changed to something borrowed before publication. Something Borrowed became the best-selling novel of her day. In 2002, Emily finally found an agent and soon the publishers in St. martin’s press made a contract with her for two books.

Something Borrowed was published in 2004 and while reviewing this book, he thought about writing a sequel. She soon began writing the second novel after Something Borrowed which was titled Something Blue. this novel was released in the year 2005. baby proof was released by her in the year 2006 and the fourth one titled love the one you’re with was released in the year 2007. american author emily fisk giffin has written seven novels till now and all of them have been on the list of best sellers internationally. Of seven, three have appeared on the US Top 150 list. uu. today. A film starring Kate Hudson in the title role in the adaptation of Something Borrowed was released on May 6, 2011, and her sequel to Something Blue is in production for a film. More than eleven million copies of her books have been sold worldwide and her books have been translated into thirty-one languages. she now has three young children and lives with her husband in atlanta. first comes love is the eighth novel written by the author emily giffin and was released on June 28, 2016.

the second and final book in the darcy & Rachel by American author Emily Giffin is titled ‘Something Blue’. was also published by st. Martin’s Griffin on March 21, 2006. After the huge success of the first novel Something Borrowed, the second novel brings betrayal along with forgiveness and redemption. Darcy Rhone knows that there are few things that she can always rely on and those are: her charm and beauty, Dex, her fiancé and her best friend for life, Rachel. darcy was completely happy with her life and she never wanted anything else. but life didn’t want the same for darcy as dex cancels the wedding that was like a dream come true for darcy. She soon finds out the reason behind this and it was because of Ella’s best friend Rachel. she feels betrayed and blames everyone in her life for her. She leaves town for London in an attempt to put all the pieces of her life together. After all this bad luck, she begins her journey on the path of forgiveness and redemption and she finds true love again and hopes that she will not be betrayed this time. this novel is full of love and sadness that will leave the reader with a good memory to treasure.
