f. Paul Wilson was born across the Hudson River from Manhattan in Jersey City, New Jersey on May 17, 1946. Growing up, Wilson was always interested in reading novels and comics. He was also interested in watching horror and science fiction movies and it is said that when he was young he once watched the movie version of King Kong more than ten times in a week.
At first, Wilson did not plan to be an author. After attending Georgetown University and graduating in 1968, f. Paul Wilson first sold his writing while he was attending Kirkwood College of Osteopathic Medicine. he has managed to juggle these two careers his entire adult life and still works today as a part-time doctor.

paul’s first published piece was a series of short stories called “language series” in analog in 1971. there were four different stories in the series: “higher centers”, “the man with the anteater”, “man rat” and “wheels”. inside wheels. he had also published a comic strip and another story called “The Cleaning Machine” that same year.
Throughout the 1970s, Wilson was known primarily as a science fiction writer. his first foray into novels was in 1976 with Healer. he now he has written more than forty books and more than one hundred different stories. He has moved on from simply writing within the science fiction genre and became known as one of the best horror writers of the 1980s when he released The Keep in 1981.
Today, there seems to be no genre that Wilson hasn’t at least dipped his writing pen into over the years. He is known for writing collaborations and even wrote the book Virgin with her wife in 1996, which was originally published under her maiden name, Mary Elizabeth Murphy. It has since been republished under Wilson’s name, as it turned out he wrote most of the writing himself.

f. Paul Wilson is best known for his Repairing Cats series. When he first wrote about this vigilante antihero, he wasn’t planning on committing to turning this into a bunch of novels. Fixer Jack’s first novel, The Grave was published in 1984 and Wilson couldn’t be pursued into writing another novel about the character until over a decade later, when he released Legacies in 1998. The Fixer Jack series currently includes fifteen novels featuring the adult Jack, three young adult novels featuring a younger version of the character, and Jack has appeared in seven different short stories. There is also a new prequel series, which began in 2012, which currently has three volumes of new mending tales.
The story of repairman jack began with the book the grave. This follows Jack, who is more interested in repairing people’s lives than appliances, as he tracks down the thief for a cursed necklace, which has the power to unleash Bengali demons. There’s a secret inside the house that Alice’s brother is trying to reveal and Jack must help her keep it hidden.

f Paul Wilson’s novel The Keep was the first of his long-form works to be adapted for the screen. The film was written and directed by Michael Mann and was released in 1983 starring Gabriel Byrne, Scott Glenn and Ian McKellen. f paul wilson didn’t think the movie would be a success. he saw it as visually appealing, but he saw something missing from the story when it was adapted for film.
Midnight Mass was made in 2003 with Wilson as one of the writers along with director Tony Mandile. This was released direct-to-video and starred Julie Cornish and Elizabeth Vance.

for television, “glim glim” was an original script written by wilson for the television show “monsters”. aired in the first series of the show and was on television in 1989. his story “menage a trois” was adapted for an episode of the show “hunger” in 1994 and “pelts” became an episode of “masters of horror ” in 2006.
