the 10th kingdom miniseries is a bit deep. but for preteen fantasy nerds, it was a minor obsession.

what we love most about the winnie the pooh hundred acre woods map is that it is meant to be drawn by christopher robin. he may be young, but luckily he still knows how to draw trees.

This is one of our favorite maps because it’s so different from the rest. The aptly named Discworld, based on the Terry Pratchett series of books, this is a universe that is shaped like a disc.

7. game of thrones west

the map of westeros was just another fantasy map until the hbo adaptation and this absolutely crazy title sequence. the shifting clockwork map is one of the best things we’ve seen and turned out to be much more satisfying from start to finish than the series itself.

no, we’re not over it yet. and yes, from time to time we still scream into the void, “why was he a targaryen?” and then we rewatch this opening sequence to calm down. this is a good cycle.
