The early publicity success of these Harvard classics was due, in part, to the branding provided by Eliot and Harvard University. for an anecdotal preface
There is a significant and apparent dichotomy between the harvard classics (hc) and the great books of the western world (gbww), and it can be summed up as follows: science and philosophy (gbww) versus liberal arts (hc). In this saying, the reader must assume that I have a natural tendency to prefer gbww. however, it’s not that easy.
Furthermore, I will do my best to keep my reasons in the open, so that my preferences conflict with my motives, where appropriate.

pie charts are also very revealing. the rest of this hc should be mentioned. It’s also worth noting that GBWW’s Science (9 percent), Doctrine (27 percent), and Math (5 percent) make up 51 percent of those selections for the group, while those classes only include the 21 percent of the hc. the more fine art, hc’s 50% choice composition beats gbww’s 42% when you look at fiction, drama, poetry, and essays.
