The traditional method of moving things from one device to another is no more. You don’t have to get a pen drive to backup your kindle via computer. you don’t need to learn how to connect that pen drive to your ipad to import the files.
These days, everything happens miraculously through the cloud. Your Kindle account content is stored and synced on Amazon servers. it’s the “cloud”: a remote server that you can access from anywhere in the world the moment you log in with your credentials.

1. open kindle and sync your books with amazon account
most likely you have connected the kindle to your home Wi-Fi network. The moment you open the e-reader, your content will automatically begin syncing with your Kindle Cloud Library.
If you haven’t connected your Kindle to Wi-Fi and/or haven’t yet registered it with your Amazon account (or have disconnected it for some reason), follow these steps.

4. download the books you want to read
in the library view of the kindle for ipad/iphone app, you will see two tabs at the top:
- All: Lists show all the books you’ve ever added to your Kindle Cloud library, including the ones you just synced from your Kindle e-reader.
- downloaded: You will see all the books you have downloaded to your ipad or iphone here. these books are available even if you are offline, for example when airplane mode is on.

Step 1: In the Kindle app’s Library view, go to “All” tab and find the book you want to download. On the top of a list, you should see the books you’ve been recently reading on your Kindle.

From now on, the book is available in the “downloaded” tab of your kindle app.
