Previously, Google only offered a 52% royalty rate. in 2019, they began offering a 70% royalty rate on certain book sales transactions for authors who agree to their updated terms of service. (Agreeing to the updated Terms of Service is required, otherwise Google will terminate your account.)

Under the updated Terms of Service, you may receive a 70% royalty rate (ultimately at Google’s discretion) on eBooks sold to users in Australia, Canada, or the United States based on the price of catalog or the fixed network. price (as applicable) that falls within the following price settings:

aud $3.99-$11.99 (tax included)

cad $2.99-$9.99 (excluding tax)

usd $2.99-$9.99 (excluding taxes)

*note: Authors using legacy royalty share prices will get 60% and 42%. but all users on monthly subscription plans for ebook distribution will get the full royalty rates.

3. I am aware that google may discount prices randomly and unexpectedly. does publishdrive do anything about it?
