Jules Verne was a French novelist. He was born in 1828 and died in 1905. Verne is the most famous French author who ever lived thanks to his general appeal, popularity, and ultimately legacy and quality of work.
He was known for starting the science fiction genre on his way, as well as for his dynamic novels. even though he pioneered the genre, the novels and what he writes don’t always fall specifically into the science fiction category. he wrote about strange worlds and travel through air, space and water before airplanes and submarines or even space travel were invented. verne admired the stories and prose of edgar allan poe and had a strong belief in the importance of scientific precision in writing. He was passionate about precision even when he was writing about fantastical subjects (a lack of which in co-author H.G. Wells earned him a reprimand from Jules).
Many of his notable novels were made into shorts and feature films, with some titles made into movies more than once and also made into TV movies. rocket to the moon, the mysterious island, in the year 2889, has also been made into a movie, as have “journey”, “20,000 leagues”, “around the world in 80 days” and a host of other classic stories of verne.
Verne became a published novelist when his first novel, Five Weeks in a Balloon, was published. The book would later become a movie that was released in 1962. It was filmed in California and starred Barbara Eden as Susan Gale, Red Buttons as Donald O’shay, and Fabian as Jacques.

Verne says that he wanted the story to take the readers on a trip to Africa and that the only way to do it was in a balloon, which is why the hot air balloon is included in the story. he says that at the time of writing, he had no faith that people could actually travel in giant balloons.
this was followed by the travels and adventures of captain hatteras, then was followed by the third book, the iconic and world famous journey to the center of the earth. There would be so much more to this incredible series that has a total of 54 novels!
verne said that his goal with the travel series was to represent the earth, as well as outline all the knowledge accumulated by modern science, as well as tell the story of the universe. she confirmed that her goal was to represent the earth and the universe while achieving a high ideal of beauty and style. He said that despite the saying that there can be no style in an adventure novel, the saying was not true, but noted that the project had been ambitious in nature.
Five Weeks in a Balloon is the first in the series. in it, the main character is doctor samuel fergusson. he is a scholar as well as an explorer who travels accompanied by two people. These would be Joe, his servant, and professional hunter Richard Kennedy. together they set out to discover the African continent and travel through unexplored and not fully explored lands.
To do this, they will cross certain areas sailing in a balloon filled with hydrogen that allows them to control the altitude and make long trips thanks to their invention of a special mechanism. Its aim is to link the East African voyages that Sir Richard Burton and others made and connect them with the Sahara and Chad regions.

The Voyages and Adventures of Captain Hatteras is the second thrilling novel written by Jules Verne as part of the Extraordinary Voyages series. As the book begins, First Officer Shandon is surprised to see that he has received a letter in the mail. the mystery letter has a request for him. He asks you to build a reinforced steamboat in Liverpool, England.
This is a very strange request for someone and no small feat. Shandon is puzzled and confused, wondering who sent him the letter and for what purpose. Regardless, he heads to Melville Bay and continues on to the Arctic Maze. That’s when a member of the crew finally reveals himself to Shandon and tells her that he is Captain John Hatteras.
hatteras confides in the first officer that he has an obsession and must get to the north pole. it’s all he can think about and he should try it. the captain follows his intent and it is not long before he experiences extreme cold and great hunger. Hatteras scours the frozen land to find fuel, losing most of his crew along the way, who abandon him in their mad pursuit of him.
hatteras only has one american to go by, and he’s a rival scout at that. As the captain continues to try to reach the North Pole, he may encounter more danger and adventure than he ever thought possible as he tries to get to the only place on earth he wants to go. The odds are against him, but nothing can make Hatteras give up his dream and obsession.
