kelly irvin is the author of more than a dozen amish novels and specializes in writing inspirational and romantic suspense books. Born in Kansas, she attended the University of Kansas where she majored in journalism, and for more than 30 years, the author has been writing nonfiction novels, 10 of which she spends working on a news report. Kelly is married to her husband, Tim Irvin, a photographer. They live in San Antonio Texas with their two children, grandchildren and two cats. During her free time, Kelly likes to read books written by her favorite authors in the genre of romantic suspense and mystery, write short stories.
one of his latest novel releases is the saddle maker’s son; It is the third book in the Amish of Bee County series and was published in June 2016. The novel is the sequel to the Beekeepers Son and Bishop’s Son books that have reached the finalist level in the ACFW Carol Award competition in the category Of romance.

The novel begins when Emma Shirack’s father and mother’s light car is hit by the neighbor’s truck, Mr. Witnesses to these horrific accidents are Emma’s sister Katherine and Ella’s brother Luke Cramer, who saw their parents thrown from her stroller and killed just before them.
With the death of their parents, life changed for the worse, they almost lost their farm and had no one to take care of them. Emma’s older brother Luke and his family sold their property and moved in with her brothers.
Emma was already heartbroken and had not fully healed from her past. her boyfriend, carl freiling, had left the bliss creek amish community 4 years earlier, and she had no adequate information as to why she had left. She ever since swore that no one would break her heart and that she would never date again. Thomas Brennaman was the man who was interested in dating her after her wife died of cancer four years ago. he wanted to go out with her but her problems were that he always had trouble expressing himself and therefore all emma saw in him was a good friend.
now carl, the boyfriend who dumped her, comes back and begs emma to give him a second chance. Furthermore, fearing to lose in the game of love, Thomas finally decided to express her feelings to Emma. The whole novel is about accepting what her ex-boyfriend Carl did to her and who she decides to go out with in this love game.
love and cherish is well written; the baseline of the story is heartbreaking with the first few pages of the novel dealing with the death of the main character. It is a story of forgiveness and family relationships. the characters are so real, for example emma’s emotions are so touching and real that you can relate to people in real life.
She is dealing with the death of her parents and forgiving the man responsible is not an easy task for her. the author did a splendid job of allowing the characters to express their feelings in a way that connects with the readers. The romantic part of the novel reads very well, from Thomas to Carl.
a heart made new
A Heart Made New is the second book in the Bliss Creek Amish series by Kelly Irvin. In this book, Annie Shirack has always had a crush on David Plank since childhood. Unfortunately, her illness seems to be putting a huge wedge between them, and on top of this, David has decided that it is in their best interest that they never see each other again. this separation is for the best because this way in case david dies, annie will not be left a young widow, and the separation makes her very angry and therefore she feels that he is not giving her relationship a chance.
In her parents’ absence, Annie seems to be a burden to her older brother Luke. and with luke’s wife complaining that annie isn’t helping much around the house, but she works at the local village bakery and gives her money to luke to help with the household expenses. One day, a desperate man walks into the bakery and pulls out a gun, a few moments later the man is arrested and thrown in jail, leaving behind his girlfriend and a three-year-old baby in his truck.
compassionate ann drives them home with the belief that what she’s supposed to do is help someone in need. However, not even all the right actions in the entire world can change Ann’s troubled heart or help her forget the man she loves.
love’s journey home
for helen crouch, it’s been seven years since her husband died, but she’s still doing well. She now makes a living selling preserves and jams at the bakery. her whole world is turned upside down when a new family moves into town. Gabriel Gless moved to the city with her family to escape the worldly influences of Indiana. For Gabriel and Helen, they have a lot in common. both have lost their spouses and both have the experience of raising their families alone. Also during the summer, the scorching sun and drought force families to abandon their families and establish a settlement elsewhere, and each family must find the faith and trust to follow God’s leading.
loves journey home is a novel that shows, kelly irvin, spectacular writing skills in the publishing world, both primary and secondary characters are well developed and each character connects correctly with the reader. the plot is well developed and holds the reader’s attention captive.
