Ella Krista considers herself lucky to have become an author, as she was headed for a different career path. She is known to have created the fictional character of Sophie Winston as the main protagonist of her series of novels. Much like Sophie Winston’s character sketch, Krista also likes to entertain family and friends, and she tends to leave cleaning work for someone else. her writing career took center stage after one of her novels was nominated for the agatha award. Other novels of hers even appeared on the New York Times bestseller list for an extended period. Most of the novels written by Krista feature a clever mystery with many twists and turns. they contain a strong atmosphere that shows the smell of wood smoke and dead leaves that shake the streets. The Japanese rights to the first series of novels written by Krista Davis have been purchased by a company called Tokyo Shogensha. Krista is currently working on her second novel series, which features Trixie, a Jack Russell terrier as the main protagonist. The series is supposed to be set in a fictional region called Wagtail Mountain in Virginia. it is also supposed to feature cats and dogs along with cooking recipes and entertaining and decorating tips. The ‘The Mystery of Paws and Claws’ series of novels is set in a resort in the charming town of Wagtail Mountain, where people love to spend their vacations together with their dogs and cats. the series consists of three books so far, which were published between 2013 and 2015.
The first novel in the series was titled ‘Murder, She Barked’, which was published by Berkley Publishing in 2013. The plot of the novel features a resort called, Sugar Maple Mountain Inn dummy wagtail, virginia. it is considered a premier vacation spot for pet owners, who cannot leave their pets at home. however, as the novel’s story progresses, the complex becomes a murderous place when a murderer comes to freely reside in it. The novel’s plot features Holly Miller as a lifelong caretaker of her dogs. she doesn’t have any job, her only job is to take care of her dogs. Holly owns an adorable and scruffy Jack Russell terrier, who has a habit of spreading crumbs all over the borrowed car of her ex-boyfriend’s new girlfriend. Just when Holly hopes things won’t get any worse, she receives a disturbing phone call involving her grandmother, forcing her to return to her family resort in Wagtail Mountain, Virginia. At the resort, Holly and her dog are greeted by resort staff and a little kitten named Twinkletoes. Things soon start to take a turn for the worse when Holly learns of the death of one of her inn’s employees in a hit-and-run accident. Contrary to reports, the death does not appear to be accidental at all, forcing Holly to conduct investigations on her own. she herself goes on the trail of the murderer along with her pets. Holly is determined to catch the killer before he kills someone else.

The second novel in the series was published in 2014 by the Berkley publishing house. it was titled ‘the ghost and the mrs. mewer’. The plot of this novel continues to depict a pet-friendly getaway in Wagtail Mountain, Virginia, USA, which is considered one of the best getaways. She is preparing to host Halloween before a murder occurs, which shakes everyone. Holly Miller is still the caretaker of her cats and dogs in this novel as well. her sugar maple inn is filled with stories of ghost spirits, which tend to scare the inn’s guests. However, Holly doesn’t believe in spirits. A television series called Apparition Apprehenders appears to be taking place around the annual Wagtail Halloween Festival based on research into the town’s supernatural legends. Things soon turn ugly, when Holly Miller’s pets Trixie and Twinkletoes find a dead woman in the Wagtail Spring Hotel bathhouse. the young woman seems to have drowned in the hotel’s bathhouse, as the place is considered one of the most disturbing places in the city. However, Holly seems to be convinced that the death was not accidental. she is determined to catch the killer before she kills someone else, disguised as a ghost.
