Fun Dinosaur Books for Kids – The Kindergarten Connection

Are dinosaurs a big hit with your kids or students? this year I realize even more than usual, that during free play dinosaur toys are chosen and loved! If the kids develop a keen interest in something, I love taking it even further with great picture books and reading aloud! This book is great for capturing the interest of younger dinosaur lovers! They’ve also broken it down by types of dinosaurs: small, large, giant, and gigantic. each page has bright illustrations and fun facts. I think my favorite part is that they tell you the pronunciation of the names. kids love it when they can pronounce scientific names of dinosaurs. It also asks fun and engaging questions to promote thinking and get the conversation flowing!

This book is for die-hard dinosaur fans and is aimed at slightly older kids (ages 7-10), but can be enjoyed with parents or teachers to help them navigate. This book is packed with information and facts about tons of dinosaurs! it has plenty of text for young learners, but it has excellent illustrations and information on just about every dinosaur ever discovered. It would be a perfect gift for a child who loves dinosaurs!

I’m pretty obsessed with alphabet books. I put “a-z” on something and immediately look at it a second time. call it a kindergarten teacher’s curse, but I can’t help it! I love this book for kindergarten. gives you information on 26 dinosaurs from (you guessed it) a-z!

Now we’ve ditched the facts for some silly fun! This book is hilarious and my kids always crack up when I read it. probably just because of the word “underpants”. this book is a silly version of the reason behind the extinction of the dinosaurs. Was it, perhaps, an underpants war?
