lillian palmer is someone who sees the image and is drawn to it. she decides to meet with ellis to right the wrong and try to mend a broken family. This will be at great personal risk to both of you, but what’s wrong is worth correcting.

mcmorris also wrote on the brink of the lost. This is a dual story about a girl who disappeared on Alcatraz in 1937 and a young man years before she leaves the pubs of Ireland for America. the girl is the daughter of a prison guard and one of the youngest people on the island. The only one who can help find her is a bank robber named Tommy Capello. While years before, Shanley Keagan makes the decision to leave her grim existence behind and head to America to find her real father. mcmorris deftly weaves the two stories together to tell the tale of the extremes of loyalty, sacrifice, and betrayal that people will go to in order to survive.
