some tried to find out who the killer was, who was not revealed until the end, and they were wrong about the killer. quite an enjoyable read that went by so quickly, some even felt they were trying to slow down to savor the ride. fans of the novel found these to be quite exciting and straight to the point; some were able to finish in just two days after failing to quit.
“A Deadly Practice” is the second novel in the “Joanna Blalock” series and was published in 1994. Joanna is now looking for a doctor who is killing doctors.
This killer bears quite a grudge against the doctors at one of the Los Angeles hospitals and is able to mimic the specialties of his victims. This killer is running around the hospital corridors and Joanna must stop him before he kills her next.
some felt this was a great way to spend their reading time as they enjoyed the whole trip and want to read more of this series. fans of the novel found this to be well written and left them guessing until the end of the book. the novel was written in such a way that it was almost impossible to know who the murderer was. is a top-notch read in the medical thriller genre.
“deadly care” is the third novel in the “joanna blalock” series and was published in 1996. the man has no fingerprints and no face. What is his name? And who killed him so brutally? Why have so many bone marrow patients died with no visible cause of death?

joanna is tormented by these questions and more as she tries to match the Faceless Man’s face with computers and guesswork. she is finally able to discover the man’s identity and there is a link between him and the other deceased patients.
There is something very wrong here. With the help of Jake Sinclair (homicide investigator and Joanna’s former lover), she is able to piece together the clues. they huddle together and start pointing in all sorts of directions at her. the once great hospital is now full of scandals and suspicions; everyone seems to have something they want to keep hidden. She is drawn into a game of death and lies by an enemy she has never seen and they know she knows too much.
This story has a fast moving plot and readers enjoyed reading it; this was another book in this series that was hard to put down. fans of the novel found this book to be a great journey, intense and exciting. some readers were able to read it in just one day. Some enjoy reading about the main character, Joanna, and discover that she is a strong woman who is able to catch murderers like very few detectives in fiction.
“Deadly Harvest” is the fourth novel in the “Joanna Blalock” series and was published in 1998. Joanna’s sister is diagnosed with an Ebola-like virus, which causes her liver to fail. Joanna then goes to an organization that is supposed to be the best at finding replacement organs for people.
She finds her true and much darker side when they receive the best transplants. as her sister is facing life or death and she could be the victim of a terrible conspiracy that could shake the medical world to its very core.
This series has all the suspense and well-drawn characters you can sympathize with that you could want in a story. the story has all kinds of intrigue, dangerous moments, and thrills that make good thrillers, mystery, and suspense stories. fans felt that these books are compelling and diabolical that create great medical suspense. these books are smart and well written. some readers felt like they were picking up the book when they only had a few moments to figure out what was going to happen next.
