why do I consider these to be the best low fodmap cookbooks?

There are publishers who would hire a recipe developer (other than a low-food diet expert) to develop a cookbook as quickly as possible. And unfortunately, these cookbooks contain recipes that, in most cases, are not even tested. For that reason, I always choose cookbooks written by experts in the field.

The Complete Low Fodmap Diet: A Revolutionary Plan to Manage Irritable Bowel Syndrome and Other Digestive Disorders was my first low fodmap cookbook and is like the bible for the low fodmap diet, since which is part fodmap diet manual, part cookbook. The authors (Sue Shepherd and Peter Gibson) are two of the original Monash University researchers who developed the diet, so you can’t go wrong with any of their recipes!
