maggie currently lives in the middle of nowhere (she calls it) in virginia. she is married to a very upright husband (whom we must assume from her mysterious handwriting that she also has a mysterious side). she has two children and two farting dogs. oh, and let’s not forget the 1973 camaro (yes, that included her car!) called loki.

stiefvaterès’s first series of books entitled “fairy books” is a collection of stories about a sixteen year old girl who is in the process of self-discovery and falls in love with a young man who has been sent on a mission to exterminate her. The book is full of magic in that the girl, Deirdre Monaghan, is painfully shy but also a talented musician who, after discovering her true identity, can see fairies. The mysterious young man who has entered Deirdre’s life is a fairy. but he’s not only a fairy, he’s a soulless fairy slayer! and guess who is destined to be her next target?
stiefvaterès’s books are full of charm, intrigue, mystery and shock. they are all combinations that make his writing style explosive. He has also written a book called ‘Ballad’ about a muse and a psychic vampire named Nuala. Nuala bites have left a trail of brilliant poets, musicians, and artists who met death at a young age. Suddenly Nuala meets a young piper and I bet he’s more than he could have hoped for. Selfish James becomes the first man to rebuff Nuala’s advances. he already has a girlfriend and is worried about a deadly fairy game with the horned king of the dead. now here comes the twist. maggie stiefvater is currently working on the third book in the raven cycle and has just finished ‘sinner’, a companion book to the goosebumps trilogy (due for release in 2014). she is slowly selecting ‘requiem’, the third and final book in the fairy book series.
