After coming of age, Thorgrin is banned by his family and attempts to join the King’s Legion, determined not to take no for an answer. he makes sure that he becomes part of the king’s court and is taken seriously. however, the king’s court faces its own family struggles, dramas, jealousies, betrayals, ambitions and violence. In the midst of all this drama, King Macgil must choose his heir among his children, since the ancient sword of the dynasty, which is the source of all his powers, awaits the arrival of the chosen one and remains. intact. Thorgrin then arrives at court to enter the battle for acceptance into the king’s legion. Soon, he gets to know that he possesses some mysterious powers. though he doesn’t understand them, he believes he has a special gift and an even more special destiny. he falls in love with the king’s daughter and begins to develop her relationship with her against all odds. however, he soon realizes that he has many powerful rivals. As he tries to understand his powers, Thorgrin is taken in by the king’s sorcerer, who tells him of a mother he knew from distant lands, beyond the canyons and the land of dragons. Thorgrin somehow wins back the king’s daughter’s love, but his happiness is short-lived as he is asked to prepare for the Hundred, an extremely difficult journey of grueling 100 days that all members of the Legion must undertake and survive. the journey from hell is set to cross the canyon, into the wild, beyond the ring and has to sail through the tartuvian sea, to the mist island. a dragon is said to patrol the journey to enable the legion members’ initiation into adulthood. there are still some unanswered questions about whether they will be able to return to the ring and if thorgri will be able to learn the secrets about his fate?
