Nancy Bush is one of America’s best-known authors of romantic suspense, romance, suspense, and mystery. Some of her books have been included in the USA Today and New York Times bestseller lists. Author Bush has been writing romance novels and romantic thrillers for the past 30 years. She has a sister named Lisa Jackson who is also a popular author like her. the two have collaborated with each other to write several books together. Author Bush says that she and her sister began their writing careers separately and later found common ground writing mystery, suspense, and romantic suspense novels. Author Bush’s writing career has always been eclectic. she wrote her first story after learning how young mothers smartly made money writing romance books. she thought that she can also do the same. She therefore told her sister about it and asked her to accompany her in the world of writing. she herself was a young mother at the time. the two sisters eventually began their writing careers and became successful authors in the romance genre. Author Bush became a published novelist in 1982 with the publication of her debut novel Dare to Love. her career as a writer initially began in the romance genre, in which she used to write both historical and contemporary novels. She says that she has always been a mystery buff and therefore used to keep adding some suspense to her plots.
In 2002, author Bush was chosen by ABC television to be part of one of their writing groups called the “think tank.” This group was given the task of developing stories for ABC’s daytime dramas. author bush one of 2 writers selected from the think tank, who actually became analysis writers for one of the highest rated shows on abc, called “all my children”. At the same time, she moved to New York to join the AMC team, while she was still working on the soap opera as a writer. author bush believes it was a great experience for her, as the pressure of delivering numerous stories on a daily basis helped her focus and develop her writing skills. when she returned to her oregon home, she began to use her newfound energy to develop the kind of stories she always wanted to write, namely mysteries. Initially, she wrote a few novels in the Jane Kelly mystery series over a period of 3 years. after that, she bush also wrote some other series of books on mystery & amp; suspense genre. During the last years of her career, author Bush shifted her focus to writing romantic thrillers, collaborating with her sister and writing alone. Like her sister, she has also worked her way up to become a USA Today and New York Times bestselling novelist. Recently, author Bush has repossessed the rights to a series of novels she had written earlier in her writing career. she even brought back one of her beloved series, the danner quartet series, in e-book format. Several other books written by author Bush in the contemporary romance genre have also been reformatted and updated as e-books.

At the beginning of this book, a deadly killer is described who tends to make young, pretty, brunette girls the victims of him. all the victims were easy targets for him and he ended their lives by cutting their skin with the help of his knife. But, the only one who stays out of his hands is Detective September Rafferty. he seems to have been trying to get her for the last few years. One day, Detective Rafferty receives a piece of art in the mail that she had drawn in second grade. she recognizes him and discovers that the murderer has written a few words on her in blood. it seems that the murderer knows her very well and is someone very close to her. The investigation leads Detective Rafferty to one of her former classmates named Jake Westerly. she doesn’t believe that he is the killer, but she knows that she can’t trust anyone in such difficult times. The killer seems to have turned into a monster and will stop at nothing to make his victims suffer. By killing Spetember Rafferty, he wants to send a message that the secrets of the past can never stay hidden.
