Using her expert powers of deduction, Nancy Drew is a curious girl who is always able to get to the bottom of a case, no matter what it is and no matter where it takes her. With insight and intelligence, she has become an almost mythical heroine that young women look up to, and this book is no exception. Although some aspects of this early entry in the series may be somewhat dated by today’s standards, it still stands as a classic example of showing what Nancy drew best. after her are the other characters that orbit her and hers various mysteries of her, all working together to help her settle in and aid her in her pursuits. people like her classmates and her boyfriend wait in her shadow as they work to uncover all the different mysteries and correct the many mistakes that come their way. with suspense and intrigue waiting around every corner too, nothing is hidden from her ever-watchful gaze as she leaves no stone unturned. This book, which sets the tone with page-turning suspense, works well to set the style for what is to come, as she launched the franchise for many years. Giving readers a dark mystery, along with little horror elements along the way, she manages to convey a somewhat creepy style, without scaring younger readers too much. This is why the Nancy Draw series has become famous throughout its long run for much of the 20th century, making it the institution it has become today.

In order to investigate an old stone mansion, her friend Helen Corning calls in Nancy Drew to examine the goings-on inside the supposedly haunted Twin Elm Mansion. she then finds out that her father is supposedly under threat, and she goes to warn him once she returns home, as he tells her about another missing person. All of this leads Nancy back to the mansion as she seeks to find out what is really going on there and who is causing all these disappearances and threats. Will she be able to find out what is really going on, or will it be too late to leave the secret buried forever with no way to discover the truth? What will become of nancy draw when she faces her greatest challenge putting her skills to the test as she discovers the hidden staircase?

the mystery of the bungalow

Third in the series, this was originally published in 1930 as a follow-up to the last Nancy mystery, continuing directly with more of the teenage detective. now much more confident in both style and tone, the authors behind this series had a much better handle on the direction in which it was headed and where it was headed. With a much better understanding of Nancy Draw as a character as well, she seems much rounder here, as well as being much more three dimensional than before.

Once again trying to help a friend of hers, this time she finds herself drawn to a deserted bungalow, as she seeks to help them while getting them out of trouble. Using both her wits and her bravery to get by, she uses her abilities to the best of her ability to help her find the truth behind what is really going on in the bungalow. Will she be able to know the truth or will it be too late? What is the reality behind the mystery of the bungalow?

nancy’s cartoon series

Halded by many feminists as a strong female role model, Nancy Drew has had an extremely positive influence on her young readers over the years. Producing movies in the late 1930s and also as recently as 2007, her eponymous character has an enduring appeal, which is also reflected in her video game titles. This all goes to show how far her character has come and while she may have undergone many transformations to keep up with the times, she seemingly remains the same at heart.
