Beckham and Lavato lead a team of brave men and medical specialists to fight against the men, who have been turned into monsters by the deadly Ebola virus. they seek to capture one of the monsters so they can study the extent of Ebola’s effect and develop a possible cure. If Lavato and Beckham’s team fail in their mission, then the entire human race could face extinction. It appears that the virus is spreading very quickly and many men are turning into monsters initially, Reed Beckham is introduced as the Sergeant Major, who leads a Delta Force team that goes by the code name Ghost. dr kate lavato is shown as a virologist and biology expert, capable of finding a cure for the deadly ebola virus. Reed Beckham and her Ghost team’s mission is to keep Lavato alive until he manages to stop the virus from spreading to the rest of the city. A successful book in this series is called ‘Extinction Edge’. It was released in the year 2015. Since there seems to be no other option, General Kennor makes the decision to withdraw his troops and give science a second chance. he hopes that medical experts will come up with a solution as soon as possible that will help them stem the growing population of variants. reed beckham is trapped in the new york sewer system along with some survivors from the first platoon. while trying to find a way out of the tunnels, they make a shocking discovery. on the other hand, dr. Lavato is trying to develop a new biological weapon under the orders of General Kennor to destroy the variants. Later, she finds out that a Navy destroyer crashed on the coast of Connecticut and because of this, Ella must deal with another nightmare, which she thought had ended a long time ago. Again, time is running out and General Kennor has ordered that all military bases in the country remain ready to face all kinds of possibilities. with the danger growing with each passing day, the human race is believed to have entered the age of extinction. now everything is in the hands of lavato and reed beckham. they can only perform a miracle that could save mankind from extinction. And as the story nears its climax, author Nicholas poses a question to readers by asking them to guess if humans will disappear from the planet. and as readers become intrigued by this question, they go on and on until they discover that science prevails and succeeds in defeating the variants. the book was greatly appreciated by all, which helped make it a great success.
