who is patricia briggs?

Born in Montana in 1965, Patricia Briggs is an urban fantasy writer, best known for the New York Times bestselling Mercy Thompson series. She started writing in 1990 and soon a first book, Masques, was published in 1993. She first wrote fantasy books, until her publisher asked her to write an urban fantasy book, as the genre was growing. that’s when briggs chose to write moon called, the first book in the thompson mercy series (which will launch the mercy verse)

This is an independent series that takes place in the mercy universe.
