pierce brown is a wonderful writer. the debut novelist blends past, present, and future into a work of fiction that if he hasn’t read yet, he’ll want to soon, since that’s all he’ll ever hear. He has managed to build an innovative and persuasive setting that pays homage to and hints at other franchises (as well as Star Wars), but still remains his own unique beast. the characters do not seem pampered, but rather the writer is concerned with pushing them to their ultimate limits of understanding and morality (and occasionally beyond those limits). everything feels so alive and fresh.

part of his new look is due in no small part to the fact that pierce brown is an author of discovery. this means that he does not plan the whole story before beginning; he lets them take off on his own, discovering the plot and fate of the characters as he writes them. The amazing thing about this way of writing from the reader’s point of view is that you clearly never know how the story is going to end: who is going to die, who is going to stay alive, or what secrets are going to come crashing down. the tale will start in one position and end in a completely different plane in the final pages. Additionally, he was nominated for Best Newcomer Author at the Good Reads Choice Awards.

In Pierce Brown’s Golden Son, the story is set on the planet Mars in a caste-driven culture where your entire role in life is determined by the color (caste) one is born into. children are genetically modified over and over again to fit their caste status and be identified simply by color. Pierce did not imagine that he would have so many intelligent characters, who were independent, around Darrow. She always thought he would be driven by Darrow, but honestly, he’s just the game changer, but everyone is playing the same game, and that’s what makes the Golden Son so entertaining.

Golden Son is a 2015 imaginary story novel, the second in Brown’s forthcoming Red Rising trilogy. Featuring Shadows of Ender’s Game, The Hunger Games, and Game of Thrones, the writer’s first appearance, the brown-punch genre, braving the awesome Red Rise, made the earth run and wasted no time in becoming a sensational novel. Golden Son continues the dramatic saga of Darrow, a revolutionary rebel forged by catastrophe, who fights to lead his downtrodden community to freedom.

As one of the Reds, Darrow grew up working in the mines beneath the surface of the sea, enduring back-breaking work while dreaming of a better future being built for his descendants. however, the society he devotedly served was built on deception. they have been deceived and denied by their superior masters, the gold ones, and their only path to liberation is rebellion. and so he sacrifices himself for a greater good. his wife also gave her life for gold. Heartbroken and determined to get revenge for the death of his wife, Darrow is recruited by an unexplained faction whose plan is to infiltrate the Oros. the golds are the elites that enslave the reds; and to maintain a lie that the surface of Mars is not fit to live when it is already occupied. To do this, he, Darrow, must also be one of the Golds. he must go through a complete and excruciating change to make him taller, stronger and golden. And only then will Darrow be accepted into the “Academy”, where he will fight against the other Golds for a prestigious position in his chain of command. The Academy segment reads like many other works of fiction, such as The Hunger Games, Endgame, and Lord of the Flies. it is a mixture of diverse ideas and forceful works despite their originality. frankly, there are enough plot twists, as well as some that were never seen coming. the combination of divisions of society, science fiction, strategy, combat, and storylines was really interesting.

In his own opinion, Pierce Brown considers his first book to be about justice versus revenge. the second book of his is about trust, while the third book is about faith and hope. Darrow knows that things are not black and white. furthermore, no matter how his emotions make him feel, he has to recognize that he has a goal to accomplish, so if that means having a series of rivals who were once friends, then so be it. but if nothing is right, darrow is extremely handy. Pierce Brown’s characters have to figure out their own compromises and the third book is where their choices finally stand as their fates are sealed. the size of the book changes as the size of the world continues to expand. In the second book, Pierce had it all in his head. however, when he came to the role, the scenes and emotions of the book grew to a whole new level. The third book became a much more complicated task for Pierce. Now, the third and final chapter of Darrow’s hierarchical hopping trilogy is at hand: Morning Star. will be released on January 5, 2016.

pierce brown now lives in los angeles, where he writes tales of wizards, spaceships, demons and more ancient and strange things. So the most he can wait until then is possibly just an announcement of Pierce Brown’s involvement in the Star Wars books. keep an eye out for the next amazing novel!
