Lou has to bring the killer to justice before he becomes the next victim.

The second book in the series is called ‘Ash Skies’. It was also released by The Forge Books in 2015. At the beginning of this book, Lou Norton and Colin Taggert are depicted arriving at a house completely burned down by fire. They come across the body of Juliet Chatman, who died in the tragic incident along with his two children. Juliet’s husband, Christopher, is admitted to the hospital after receiving injuries while trying to save his family from the fire. now, he is devastated and heartbroken. Questioning the Chatmans’ family members, friends, and neighbors, Lou Norton learns that they were living a pretty happy life. but then discovers that the truth was something very different. Juliet and Christopher’s marriage was consumed in the flames of jealousy, fraud, adultery, disease and scandal. On the other hand, Lou Norton’s marriage is also on the cards. but lou is more concerned with solving the chatman case. she seems very convinced that christopher started the fire in her house. But, when her colleagues find out what she has in mind, they think her judgment is clouded by some personal issues. Since she didn’t find much evidence related to the fire, Ella Lou believes that she is being deceived from all sides. Ella Lou keeps trying to get closer to the truth and catch the arsonist. She however, is also worried about getting burned in her attempt to catch the killer and therefore she seems to be careful about her safety.
