both recently retired and now live on longboat key in florida, where they bought a small cabin overlooking the beach. everything had started well, but one day her husband did not come home and he was nowhere to be seen the next night.
What was going to be a happy retirement on the beach turns into a frantic search for Frank. When local detective Brody Barker gets to work, he thinks he’ll quickly solve the mystery of the disappearance. but things aren’t that easy as every clue he uncovers turns into a dead end.
The closer Julia gets to the truth, the less interested she becomes in finding answers to her questions. Soon after, she begins to lose faith in her marriage and the only thing standing in the way of a disastrous end is Brody, who knows she has to help her.

Shortly thereafter, a tabloid reporter gets in touch, but it’s clear all he wants is to sensationalize Frank’s disappearance. if he writes his story, he may put julia at risk just for surprise value.
