sara shepard is an american author popularly known for best selling books: the lying game and pretty little liars. Born in Pennsylvania, her mother was born in Toronto while her father was American. ella sara graduated from downingtown high school in 1995. she attended nyu and earned her masters of fine arts at brooklyn university, today she lives outside of philadelphia with her husband and her puppies.

for as long as she can remember, sara shepard has been writing continuously. however, as far as she knows, she wanted to be a filmmaker, soap opera star, claymation artist, or lego designer when she grew up. Sara and her sister have been very artistic, especially when it comes to writing projects.

These four friends finally realize they need to confront their old secrets from the past and maybe join forces. this is because someone known only as “a” is after them. someone who knows things about them that only everyone knew. this person keeps sending threatening messages of fear. the girls are quite confused. ali was never found, how the hell could she be making contact after all these years? she has to be dead or on some plane, millions of miles away, but maybe she’s just standing next to them secretly watching her every move.

the pretty little liars is not a book for sweets, chocolates or even a guilty pleasure. it has nothing to do with these; this is a book about the rich and how their scandalous endless lives are appalling. what they love to do is spend most of their time shopping. no other book actually comes close to the amount of scandal found in the pages of this book.

You’ll be intrigued from page one by the secrets these five girls shared, with one of them long dead. from makeup and enlargements and everything you can imagine. the characters within the pages are also far from young and beautiful; there is always a strange evil lurking between them. this evil remains addictive and inexplicable. each girl has a unique personality. personalities that will wake all readers up at night. you may never want to leave this.

Identical twins who have never met, a stoic foster boy, and a community of mean girls who love money more than morals take you on a roller coaster of emotional challenges in this first book in the lying game series. foster girl emma, two weeks before her eighteenth birthday, discovers that she has a twin named sutton. De Ella heads away from Las Vegas to meet her in Tucson. Unfortunately, Sutton appears to have died in the process of making a snuff film.

Sutton narrates from beyond the grave adding a unique and interesting twist to the story. Sutton barely remembers who killed her and, what’s worse, she can’t remember anything about her life. he painstakingly watches his living twin trying to solve this mystery.

shepard did a quick and thorough job with this first book. she managed to get readers to suspend their disbelief in order to adventure through an unpleasant teenage age marked by rebellion and peer pressure. only towards the end do we realize that the apparent conflict that seems to be resolved soon is a launching pad for a new conflict made on purpose for the second volume.

There is always an urgency within the first part that always seems electrifying and terrifying. sara shepard never seems to disappoint her readers; all her books have many followers. If you are a lover of the huge scandals within these books, you should keep an eye out for any of Shepard’s novels and series.
