One of Stacey’s earliest work, the series revolves around the adventures of a privately owned rogue agency. People who are part of the “devlin group” take on dangerous missions that can cost them their lives. however, they find themselves in equally daunting tasks when it comes to their romantic lives. each novel, while keeping its focus on the devlin groups, focuses on a different couple and their respective history.

The first novel in the Devlin Group series revolves around Grace Nolan and Alex Rossi. grace left the devlin group years ago as a result of two things: not only was she exhausted from her job, but she found out that she was pregnant with alex’s child. Alex, however, is unaware of this. she though she leaves the group behind, they call on her to help them with the hacking. Which finally sends her into a spiral when her son, Danny, is kidnapped. the ransom for the life of her son is alex rossi. Grace finds herself in a desperate situation: to save him, she has to return to her old life, as well as be honest with Alex about her child. Meanwhile, Alex himself has pressing problems of his own, including avenging the murder of his mother. But she has a secret she has kept from Grace that could prove to be the ultimate betrayal. With only seventy-two hours to defeat the villain and rescue Danny, the stakes are higher than ever in the first novel in the series.

as stacey shannon explains, the first book in the series began as a “just for fun” project. Since then, “The Kowalski Family” has had a total of nine books. The series is about various members of the Kowalski family and their love lives. However, the series quickly expanded to include not only the Kowalski family’s romance, but their friends as well. Like the “Devlin Group” series, each novel focuses on a different couple.
