I love this winter twist on “the little spider”. With fun rhymes and a familiar tune, this book is always fun. There’s also a pumpkin version for fall!

The illustrations in this book are so fun and engaging, and unique things are used to build a snow family! similar in style to the leaf man book (same author) this is another great book to add to your collection!

100 snowmen

I recently read this book in my classroom. is full of fun equations and rhymes, all in the quest to get to 100 snowmen! yes, some of the equations slip past my kids at the moment, but it was still fun for them to listen to. they loved trying to see how many snowmen there would be!

snowman sneezes

sneezy is always cold and wants to get warm. The kids try to help him because Sneezy keeps melting! I loved this book for its repetitive phrases. my kids immediately started joining in on the parts, which made for a great interactive read aloud! plus, it’s silly, and we love a good, fun book!

I like to start this book by asking my kids what they would need for a snowman. I love to know what they would use! This book starts with the basics (you need snow, of course!) and builds from there as you watch a snowman being built.

the biggest snowman ever seen

My kids love “the mouse” stories and are familiar with the characters from the biggest christmas tree that ever lived and the biggest pumpkin that ever lived, so this one intrigues them as well! immediate! When there’s a snowman contest in town, both Desmond and Clayton want to win, but it’s hard to do it alone!

the snowman

I love books without words. i love them and try to add as many as possible to my collection. they are so powerful for beginning readers! This story tells the story of a child’s snowman who comes to life that night. There’s also a DVD of the story!
