Jaymee shares the hope of finding Ella’s daughter with Ella’s boss and her friend, Ella’s Lana. She almost gives up when Lana is killed, but her hope is fired again when her current boss, Rebecca, promises to support her. When Rebecca also dies under mysterious circumstances, Jaymee is shaken. There are enough suspects in this story that it’s hard to figure out who killed lana and rebecca. It could be anyone from Jaymee’s cruel father to the pastor who treated her like dirt for getting pregnant. As Jaymee and Nick search for the link between her daughter and the murders, a relationship begins to develop. Their search takes them across Mississippi, where they encounter twisted characters living double lives with enough secrets to hide. twists and turns will surprise you when you least expect it and help you keep the pace up. Will Jaymee find her daughter and the person behind the murders?
tin god is an exciting story that is beautifully composed and narrated. is a perfect read for anyone looking for a well-crafted, fast-paced, descriptive psychological thriller. the story peaks in all the right places, and the perfect pacing makes it all the more intriguing. Jaymee is both fire and ice, and from her experiences, it’s easy to see why she’s a bit rough around the edges. the author pays attention to details creating a good mystery that will keep you glued from the beginning. Mississippi’s alluring settings add to the story, and the bizarre characters are just icing on the cake. there is an element of romance here, but it comes in the right dose. this story will leave you feeling a bit unbalanced and eager to read the next installment in the series.

all good deeds all good deeds come first in the lucy kendall series. The book stars Lucy Kendall, a former Child Protective Services (CPS) worker who has decided to bring justice that she believes has been elusive for many. Now as a private investigator, Lucy follows seasoned criminals in hopes of putting them behind bars for good. When a young boy goes missing and Lucy discovers that a known predator is connected to the disappearance, she breaks ground on this case. she is determined to find this girl and make sure the predator pays for her crime this time. Searching for this child will draw Lucy into an evil web that goes beyond her wildest imagination.
lucy seems a bit upset, but she’s nice. while the story does highlight serious issues like child abuse, it’s great that it’s not too graphic. there are multiple murders here, but the focus is on the psychological suspense. Will the missing boy be found before it’s too late? what challenges do the characters encounter during their quest? Who can be trusted and why? With the captivating story and well-developed characters, it’s hard not to get emotionally involved and keep cheering them on as the story progresses. despite their terrible flaws, it’s easy to identify with the main characters and understand their choices.

The author does an excellent job with this police procedural. From her analysis of how sociopaths, pedophiles, and child abuse victims act and think, it is clear that she has done her research. the pacing remains consistent throughout the story, and the whiff of romance brings just the right amount of sunlight to this story. She will enjoy meeting Lucy and following her as she serves justice to the best of her ability. Sure, she can be tricky with her dark edges and all, but she’s also a caring woman with a soft spot for children. Your heart will break with Lucy’s when her world begins to fall apart and you’ll celebrate when events occur in her favor.
All Good Works is a captivating read. don’t let the theme or flawed cast fool you into thinking you won’t enjoy the book. if you are a fan of suspense, thriller or mystery, you will find the book irresistible. everything from character building is done well, and the story unfolds at a steady pace. there are a few twists as the story unfolds, and it’s hard to know who can be trusted. It’s also notable that the author has expertly handled child abuse, so there are minimal triggers for readers.
