With the captivating story and well-developed characters, it’s hard not to get emotionally involved and keep cheering them on as the story progresses. despite their terrible flaws, it’s easy to identify with the main characters and understand their choices.

The author does an excellent job with this police procedural. From her analysis of how sociopaths, pedophiles, and child abuse victims act and think, it is clear that she has done her research. the pacing remains consistent throughout the story, and the whiff of romance brings just the right amount of sunlight to this story. She will enjoy meeting Lucy and following her as she serves justice to the best of her ability. Sure, she can be tricky with her dark edges and all, but she’s also a caring woman with a soft spot for children. Your heart will break with Lucy’s when her world begins to fall apart and you’ll celebrate when events occur in her favor.

All Good Works is a captivating read. don’t let the theme or flawed cast fool you into thinking you won’t enjoy the book. if you are a fan of suspense, thriller or mystery, you will find the book irresistible. everything from character building is done well, and the story unfolds at a steady pace. there are a few twists as the story unfolds, and it’s hard to know who can be trusted. It’s also notable that the author has expertly handled child abuse, so there are minimal triggers for readers.
