Steven Becker is an American author who writes action-adventure novels. Steven is most commonly associated with the Mac Travis adventure series. Steven always had a taste for books.

And he doesn’t think those years were in vain either. At the time, although he owned a construction company, Steven Becker preferred to call himself a builder rather than a contractor.
That was because he was always very involved with construction work. and that built discipline. the author knows what it means to strive for years before finally getting results.
He was more than ready to take on the rigors of publishing when the time came for him to finally achieve his dream of producing fiction. however, the path to independent publishing success was not without its challenges.
Like many authors, Steven Becker got serious about writing early on, but life kept getting in the way. And it wasn’t like the author was new to writing to begin with.
steven had built a great career as a technical writer. he participated in the creation of manuals for restaurant chains and even produced numerous non-fiction books.
Once her heart was finally set in producing fiction, her daughter entered the picture. Steven has said in interviews that she already had a story ready to be written in 1995. In fact, she started writing her first book.
When her daughter was born, however, she had no choice but to discard everything else to put her family first. Many authors have demonstrated her uncanny ability to not only manage her family and her career, but also sneak a few books out in the process.
Steven isn’t afraid to admit that such accomplishments were beyond him at the time. so he did the best he could to raise his daughter. but he never let his publishing dream die. And once his daughter was old enough to get her driver’s license, Steven Becker knew it was time to get back in business. at that time, the author’s construction company had reached a level of success that allowed it to operate without his direct involvement.

then, 15 years later, steven took that idea that had captivated him in the early 1990s and turned it into ‘wood’s reef’, his first book. Steven was a little hesitant to call himself an author at first.
even with the minimal success his books had garnered, he wasn’t so sure his publishing dream had come true. he had to write another dozen books before the truth of his success in publishing stood out and he gained the confidence to present himself as an author.
steven becker loves working in the freelance publishing world. he admits that he produces a lot of crap and that tends to create a negative bias against authors like him who produce quality stories.
but he also appreciates the level of cooperation he finds in the field. furthermore, the fact that independent publication allows him to tell his stories exactly as he wishes makes the whole field invaluable to him.
Steven believes that independent publishing forces authors to shed their egos because they know they face stiff competition; there is no choice but to cooperate with other like-minded authors. that’s the only way to surface above the negativity that surrounds desktop publishing.
steven believes his books often stand out from the crowd because they are based on his personal experiences. the author loves the water and you shouldn’t be surprised to find him diving, fly fishing or trolling.
Steven sees a lot of things when he’s in, on, or under water. some of his best books begin with scenarios that reflect events that actually happened to him. Because Steven Becker writes from experience, he believes his books display an additional spark of realism.
Steven counts authors like Clive Cussler, Conn Iggulden, and Bernard Cornwell among his favourites.
the author does his best to write at least two thousand words a day. Even when he can’t reach that goal, Steven finds a way to spend at least two hours of his day writing.

It’s not easy, even if his daughter is no longer a factor because Steven still has a construction business to run and it consumes a lot of his time. Steven struggles to get up early to finish his writing before life gets in the way.
Steven Becker’s biggest hurdle has always been starting a book. If she can just sit down and write those first few paragraphs and chapters, then she knows that she has been more or less successful with the writing project at hand.
