Terri Blackstock was born in 1957 in the small town of Belleville, Illinois. when he was only eleven years old, his whole family moved to mississippi. she completed her education and also attended college there. She since her childhood, she was always a very bright student and she liked books very much. she used to spend most of her free time visiting the library and reading books. after that, she headed to northeastern louisiana university to complete her bachelor’s degree. it was in 1983 when she decided to write her first book. initially, she started out writing only romance-related novels.
She initially wrote the novels under the names Tracy Hughes or Terri Harrington. the first novel he wrote under his original name was Never Say Goodbye. it was a complete success and inspired her to write even more. after that, she went on to write thirty more romance novels for different publishers. however, in 1994, she suddenly changed her mind. she changed her gender due to her sudden change of beliefs. She wishes she had written only the truth and confesses that she would happily go back in time and erase all of her romance novels.

Her romance novel, “A Secret Agitation” earned her a Gold Medallion finalist award in 1986. She also appeared regularly on numerous television shows such as “Home Life.” she also appeared as a guest on many radio shows. Her journey to the top has also been captured in many books by famous authors like Mike Nappa and Ace Collins.
She also has three children who live in Mississippi. when she is not busy writing, she takes care of all the activities of her children. she also volunteers at many church activities.
the restoration series is one of the best series written by terri blackstock. The first book in the series is “Last Light”. the book is about a crisis that hits the world and takes the planet back to a time when there was no electricity. Doug Branning and El’s daughter Deni have just gotten off their plane in Alabama when the power suddenly goes out. initially, they thought it was just a regular hit-and-run. but then planes started falling from the sky and the whole highway got stuck. they realized that it was much more serious than a normal power outage. Violence broke out in the city when all the people fought for bikes at Walmart to get home. however, the situation worsened when people started killing each other and looting all shops and vehicles. deni and ella beth’s younger sister found the bodies of beth’s teacher and her husband. all modern facilities were lost, they just have to count on each other to survive the situation. when an entire family along with their son are found dead in their home, everyone initially suspects a black man in the neighborhood. Many people also distrusted a doctor who lived in the neighborhood, Doug Branning thought that maybe this was his chance to save the entire neighborhood from him and become a hero. however, it was a very difficult task. she needed the cooperation of all people to get out of her situation.

terri blackstock has managed to create an extremely terrifying atmosphere. his description of the whole situation is extremely strong and you may be forced to check if your computer is working or not. it’s primarily a character-driven book. she has managed to introduce us to different types of characters and how they react in an emergency. she has brilliantly portrayed how a difficult situation can bring out the good and the bad in you. although it is mostly character based, the pacing is quite fast and will keep the reader engaged throughout. All in all last night was a great book and a fantastic introduction to the series. It is one of the most thought-provoking novels ever written by Terri Blackstock. It lays the perfect foundation for the series and you’ll desperately want to read the next book as soon as possible.
“night light” is the second book in the restoration series. the situation is slowly getting out of control, there has been no electricity for the last few months. the whole city is fighting for existence. all bank accounts are frozen and no one has money to buy food. they are forced to dig wells to collect water and also introduced the barter system to exchange clothes, food and other items. To solve the problem, periodic meetings were held on the banks of the river among all the people of the community. Families that used to barely speak to each other must now work together to survive. thefts and robberies also increased due to food shortages. There was one such break-in at Branning’s house. They caught the thieves and found that they were a group of four little brothers, the oldest being just nine years old. his mother was gone and they had to survive on their own. Even though he had a large family to feed, Branning decided to help them. they tried to contact their grandparents and sent them a letter. but the postal system was overloaded and they had no idea when the letter would arrive at its destination. however, after a few days his grandparents came to his door.
terri blackstock has made the story continue. the character development continues in the second book and that atmosphere of suspense still remains. the generosity of the branning family and their willingness to help others in the most difficult situations shows us the good side of human beings. she has an element of mystery because she tells us about the children’s past and also introduces us to some new characters. All in all, it’s a great book that adds a little more suspense and mystery to the series.
