stephen king is horror. Beginning with “The Glass Floor” in 1967, King has built a career on horror stories and supernatural fiction. is a household name, synonymous with chillingly bizarre tales of telekinesis, psychic abilities, and creepy children.
I’ve been a fan of King since high school and am surprised to meet readers who aren’t familiar with his work. or rather, they are about as unfamiliar as it gets, given the saturation of American pop culture with their creations. what I discovered is that one can know brightness without really understanding it. “jack nicholson with an axe” is a fabulous description, but it does nothing to decipher what’s really going on at the hotel with a view.
