This time, the body is that of a young woman, discovered somewhere in the Swedish countryside by a child. when the police arrive at the discovery scene to investigate, they discover the bodies of two other women lying under the first. all of the deceased were found to be teenagers who had been reported missing several years earlier.
Clues were discovered that formed a trail back to a family called the Hults. later, she learns of another girl’s disappearance and begins the race against time in an effort to rescue her from an untimely death. Unfortunately, the case investigator must face many obstacles on his way, including a heat wave, his partner’s pregnancy, and some very useless relatives.
The book that came after The Preacher is The Stonecutter, which came out in 2005. Moving away from an opening that includes the discovery of a body, The Stonecutter is a story told through a messy plot of times gone by , present times and several parallel stories in between.
The connecting line between all the events is not drawn until near the end of the book. Still, the two main Preacher characters, Erica and Patrik, are involved in the story. while erica was pregnant at the preacher, by the stone cutter, the child was born and the couple are having trouble providing the means for child-rearing, even recruiting the highly incompetent police chief for the job at some point. /p>
Meanwhile, there is another crime that must be solved. an eight-year-old boy the couple knew quite well was horrifically murdered. now they have the gruesome task of tracking down the killer.

None of the stories that appear in Lackberg’s twelve published books have yet made it to the big screen. however, there has been a television series called fjällbackamorde, created and broadcast in sweden that is based on his books.
