Burke’s Book Store
burke’s bookstore is one of the nation’s oldest independent bookstores, located in the heart of the cooper-young district of downtown memphis. Burke’s has been offering the best variety of new, used, and rare books in Memphis since 1875. Withstanding the Great Depression and two world wars, Burke’s Bookstore began as a family business in 1875 and has been owned and operated by the same family for three generations.
