what is the bookstore financial aid collection program?

the bookstore billing program is a new service that will allow students who are eligible for financial aid to charge the cost of purchases/rentals of course materials at the bronco bookstore to their cpp student accounts against pending financial aid disbursements. This is not a grant or additional aid award, but rather an advance on your aid package. eligible purchases can be made with your bronco ID card.

This program will allow students to obtain the necessary course materials and begin completing assignments while awaiting the award of financial aid or other sources of funding. the intent is to make it easy and convenient for students waiting for the aid disbursement to get their materials at the start of classes.

who is eligible to participate in the program?

students currently enrolled in cpp (regular college only, not extended college) enrolled in more than zero units who have received financial aid that has not yet been disbursed may choose to use this program.

Books and supplies such as pens, pencils, scantrons, or other designated education-related supplies are eligible for the program. some technology purchases may be allowed if necessary for your program. food, clothing and gifts are not included.

how much can be charged?

there is a maximum charge limit of $500 per semester.

what is the process for uploading articles?

Student bookstore charges for authorized purchases will be added to the student’s cpp account at checkout. In-store purchases will require a signature indicating agreement to the terms of the program. online orders must indicate agreement to the terms in the special instructions field. account balances are paid when financial aid funds are disbursed. students are responsible for paying any balance in their student account that remains after aid disbursement. Please note that a student’s financial aid package must exceed their financial obligation to the university for the current semester to qualify for the book fee program.

When financial aid is disbursed, the sequence of payments will be:

  • registration & fees
  • mandatory campus fees
  • accommodation
  • charges for course material

when should the bookstore balance be paid?

The outstanding balance for bookstore purchases in a current semester must be paid before a student can access this process in a future semester. A hold will be placed on the student’s account for unpaid balances, which will prevent enrollment in classes the following semester. Student Responsibilities:

  • You must authorize the bookstore to participate in the program either in-store or online. Please check your mycpp account for payment due dates or to determine if your financial aid (if applicable) will cover the charges.
  • You will be responsible for full payment of your textbooks if you become ineligible for receiving financial aid or if your aid is not sufficient to cover your account balance, as well as for changes in enrollment or withdrawal status from the university.
  • you are responsible for all bookstore charges incurred after financial aid funds have been disbursed and you have received a refund either by direct deposit or check.
  • If you do not pay all charges on your student account, you will not be able to enroll in future courses and all your academic records will be retained.
